Difference between feminized and regular seeds?

I'm sure if you've done you're research you've read that there are certain conditions to follow while the third set of leaves are growing in order to increase your chances of a female plant. What do you guys think of this? I have a bag seed and I already stressed it with heat and light and it seems like it would be hard for me the control the temp and humidity and honestly my environment is hot when it shouldn't be and not as humid as it should be. I've had the lights on the whole time since it broke soil and I am afraid to try the 14 hour on switch because it just seems too low and stressful.

I'm planning on possibly leaving conditions the way they are and hopefully getting a female. What are your thoughts? Do you try to tweak conditions to increase e chance of a female or just do your own thing?

I clone or buy feminized seeds. Run the lights at 14hrs. till they show what they are then weed out the males and flip them back to 18hrs. they'll be fine, don't stress man. Oh, and get your environment under control, it should be set before you even have vegetation in the room.
