Looking for a Coffee tasting/smelling strain.

Had a rez chem ibl that had a distinct coffee smell the whole time flowering but didnt have the taste

Peyote Purple from Cannabiogen had that coffee thing going on, along with a funky hairspray kinda thing too. Peyote Purple is a pheno of Katsu Bubba Kush btw.

Like Wyteberrywidow and Raceryboy said.. Bubba.. that is your coffee smell.

watch out for male flowers.. Sometimes they won't herm on you until the mother gets a little aged.. suuuucks, cause Bubba is so good, you are loving the plant, then, AAAHHHh,, she herms.

Bubba is definitely what you are looking for..

got bubba at day 44. before yesterday i was getting slightly fruity and hints of that limey garlic funk. but last night when i took her out for pics n gen check damn did i get some nice coffee stink. was a sweet almost mocha smell and i couldnt smell it when squeezing the nugs, just from like a foot away. loving it!

Most coffee tasting/smelling strain ive ever ran or tried came from BOG. I ran his grape punch and besides having full grape bubblegum phenos there was full on black coffee grounds phenos in there to. Im not 100% sure but ive always assumed BOG used some Bubba in his crosses.

I'm growing a couple of these right now. Did yours get some gnarly, twisted up leaves on it? It's one of the more bizarre looking strains I've ever grown. Really slow in veg too.

Herijuana is straight coffee when cured. At least it was for me from Sannie. Pretty stable line. Not easy to clone not that vigorous.

Right? They are HUGE fan leaves, but they are doing this claw thing on the end like I've never seen before. Looks like a fruit rollup or something

Fruit roll up is about accurate. Also agreed on slow vegging. Did you see any with resin on the fans in veg? I got one. I have her kept. I think probably a future breeding plant.

I didn't notice that in veg, but I have one about 4 weeks in to flower and she is frosting up nicely

Yea, that is normal. Weird plant. Frosted on some fans and even some stems if I remember right. Yield was light as I recall.

Curious how you guys taste or smell this, also a buzz report. I got chocolate-coffee taste with a strange 'hairspray' taste too. High was relaxing but not knock out, you could do stuff ok.

For sure with the Bubba. Stanky coffee smell the whole time. And it is such a hardy plant. I've experimented with it a lot and it just takes whatever i throw at it and still produces chron. its almost impossible to kill. That was the reason i grew it. I had a clone of it that had bugs and mildew and just wouldnt die. I ended up growing it and keeping cuts after i cured it of its ailments. It is by far the least finicky plant I've ever had, it is straight frosty chron, and yields very well. it was a star in my room right off the bat.

the heri i grew didn't have a coffee smell to it, at all.. very odd you saw that.. the heri i had, well, tbh, i can never put a description on the smell, other then odd, or unique..

Quite a few others have described it the same way. I'm sure there's some variation there. It didn't start out that way, but after a month in a jar it ended that way.
