help with saving some genetics

So I've got about 6 ladies in full on flower. I have never been one to clone and just always popped new seeds for new grows , but I have 2 of these girls I have to keep around bc of how nice the plants are. One is KO kush and the other one is an unknown hybrid that has a bit longer flower. The kush will b done in about a week and the hybrid has another 2 -3 weeks. I was gonna reveg then take clones once some branches formed. Being there is a harvest diff between them hopefully i could harvest the kush leave that handfull of flowers I'd use for my reveg on but keep it on 12 12 till the hybrid is done. I've herd of people doing 2 harvests off a plant BC some spots weren't done at same time as others basically same idea but not gonna chop again just flip to veg time. Had I known how killer these would turn out I'd of just cloned but being I'm in wk 7 of flower I'm thinking I shouldn't try to clone but re veg. Any thoughts let me know

You could cut and try to clone off of your favorites, but being that far along you would be better of with a re-veg to take clones. You could re-veg and then flower those girls again too. It's late in the game and your options are limited.

You could try to let one go over ripe and see if she will pop some nanners, but that is probably the least popular option and I wouldn't do that to my own plants.

I'd cut clones and reveg for widest possible options. Then, later, you can see which option worked out best, and keep the strain going with the best possible outcome.

Ya I was leaning towards the reveg and then take clones but due to there prolly gonna b about 3 weeks between harvests is the one I harvest first gonna be OK with just a hanfull of buds on it till I take the the other one. If I had two tents I guess I'd be OK. Through i could put it under the bad boy t5 fixture till I take the other one in another room, but I can't c a reason y it wouldn't work just keeping it on 12 12 for a few more weeks till they r both ready to reveg. Any reveg I've done in the past I just harvest and will immediately start the process the next day or so I think that's y I'm so Leary about this also I'll b bummed if I lose these genetics. Either way thanks for the input.
peace

I don't see where you have any other option but to continue 12/12. I've never seen this done before so I'm interested in how it comes out. Please post back here to let us know how it pans out.

You can always harvest 90% of the plant and then reveg what's leftover of the plant...it's already established in a pot and will be easier than cloning...leave as much foliage as you can...g/l

Ya I'm just gonna chop it and try leaving on 12 12 for a few weeks till the other one I wanna reveg is done. I really don't c y it wouldn't but b ok to do but who knows. I'll deff keep updated on the progress with some pics too.

That's the way I was leaning as cloning is something I've only done twice before and had some success not 100% or anything more like 50 %, but being the situation I'm in I don't want to try to do something more new till I get reg cloning down. I do wanna ask u about ur post saying to leave as much foliage as possible for reveg though. I have revegged before with good success but I was more concerned with there being the 10 % or so of flowers left on than the leafs. Is this something that would help it revert easier i could c it would be beneficial. Is it along the lines of helping it have more area to receive light and aid in photosynthesis as that is y I would assume u try and leave as much foilage as possible. That being said she's yellowing off pretty good would these leaves come around once flipped back or just leave greener healthier ones.

Thanks man

By foilage I mean both...the smaller bud sites will have sugar leaves and the larger leaves will yellow but with starting a nitrogen feeding schedule and 18+ hours of light you can bring them back...it's just one of those situations where it doesn't happen overnight....so it takes a lot of care by you to make this happen...foliar feeding helps a lot during the earlier times of reveg...don't kill em with kindness though...small steps...make yourself proud...g/l
