Hi alegro. It's good you got started, butt if you're serious about doing a scrog grow you should already have the set up to complete your plan.Read,read,read.All the info is on this site. For example,I'm gonna do another scrog, butt I haven't done a set up with reg. seeds, only with feminized.Believe you me, I'll be reading up on how to get her done, some where on this site.I believe the answer to your ? is veg. to the height of your scrog set up. Other teachers on this site, have answered that question a lot better than I could butt, that's it plus the steps with repotting your plants before you get to the height of your screen.Read the threads and learn from other folk's mistakes and you'll come out ahead. i.e. I used a flood tray that helped me not mess up the landlords floors and not have to worry about over flow watering. And pvc pipes makes putting the screen together so much easier.I probably sound like I'm babbling, butt there's so much info that goes into getting your set up right, for you.....:wall: Please read the info on this site and it will make things so much easier for you..Good luck with your grow, you're gonna love scrogging. And all those nice juicy buds..:hump:

Well first off they need to get a bit bigger really before you place your screen. How much room do you have to work with will determine how high you place your screen above the plants. You want to place the screen at a height that will allow space under the screen for air flow. I think typically about 12 inchs above the pots is pretty common. If you are seriously limited on vertical growth then you can place it lower and start training sooner, but remember the air flow under the screen lots of guys place a small fan near the bottom just for that purpose. You also want the screen high enough that that you are able to water the pots properly. Once the screen is in place you won't be moving the plants until you harvest them remember that.

So next is the screen it self, lots of ways to do it, pvc with strings, wood frame with strings, I've seen orange construction fence used, you want something between 2-3 inch openings. You also want it secure because the plants will be pushing on the screen, and it needs to hold them back.

Also as Worcester said if you are planning on transplanting to larger containers that needs to be done before you place your screen. I would prolly do the transplant and then wait until I see nice fresh growth to place the screen(2-4 days I would expect). Once the screen is in place you want to bend and spread the branchs as evenly as possible to fill the screen as evenly with nodes as you can. If possible one growth node per square or every other square.

From the looks of your plants I would expect them to be indica dominant and prolly won't stretch like crazy when you flower them. Thus I would most likely wait until about 75-80% of the screen is filled with nodes before you switch to 12/12 to flower. Continue to tuck longer nodes under for a few days after the switch to keep the canopy nice and even. Now watch, wait, and keep the plants happy for 8-10 weeks most likely.

Remember the air flower so you don't end up with a big screen filled with mold!

Thanks Thundercat, you answered that very well. I'm guessing with my reg seed use, for scrog, I'll have to wait for them to show their sex before I begin to tie them down? I got Mr. Nice Guy Black Widow regs. and I want all the space underneath the screen that I can get! I Love me some white widow. Always gets me fooped up, no matter how long I've been smoking it...:weed: I'm doing a search, like I suggested to allegro, butt nobody is talking about reg. seed use, that I've been able to find. Still reading though, because I know it's there some place. Iz needs my answers, so I'll keep reading. Thanks again for your knowledge..:peace:

Not sure what your trying to figure out. I would suggest sexing the plants before you put them into a scrog. You can take a cutting and clone it, and then sex that while the mom vegs if you have space. I'd be real upset to spend lots of veg time on a scrog and find a male. I always run clones for production plants. When I have new seeds they get cloned, and as soon as the clones have roots the seedling gets flowered to sex it. Then the clone can become a new mother plant if its a girl, and worth keeping. I've been doing this the last month with a cross I produced last fall. Removed a few males, and have a couple really promising females flowering now with clones to be moms if they make the cut.

Thank you. I will try your method. With fems it's so much easier. I finally got a cloner and the proper technique down...Will do.. Thanks:weed:

the best, "plain english," scrog how to i've ever read was by, "greenmonster714." he didn't always add the 714 at the end. he posted at a few sites. i know he has his info. stickied at grass city. go there and check it out, pretty easy to find. also, if you're gonna do a scrog, pretty much gonna need to do some trimming.
