There is a nice little stretch of road nearby, nearly flat the whole way, down in a valley. My Lingenfelter can easily touch 180 in those 5 miles. Its got more legs but I am too much of a chickenshit to go any faster. Once the dots on the road are turned into a visual continuous yellow ribbon, its time to shut her down. My knuckles have only been whiter in plane crashes or car wrecks.
I'm not up on name brands in the bike world... too lazy right now to google, but it sounds like a bike... unless it's a lingenfelter corvette?
Anyway, there is a section of I 40 east of knoxville, tn. Coming out of North Carolina, going west towards knoxville, you have a very nice curvy road.
I've driven it late at night real fast. I met some chick over in NC and i went and saw her one night. At the time I had a Subaru impreza wrx. 300 hp in a little 4 cylinder car. All wheel drive. That car handled like a dream. That was one fun trip home.
But you're crossing the main line of the Appalachian mountains. Once you get out there is about a 4 mile long straight drag. It is mostly in a slight decline and one little hill. But all straight.
It's in a county that is dirt poor, cocke county, pronounced like other word for dick. It's famous for moonshine and weed. Due to sparse law enforcement.
Every couple years the sheriff goes to jail, the FBI and Dea busted one of them back in the 80's for letting cartel airplanes land and refuel hauling cocaine from Miami to ny.
So that's a great place to wind one out.
