I'm not in a position to say one way is better than another, but I'm fairly certain that the flushing before harvest myth derives from an actual practical application of 'flushing' where people try to remove an excessive amount of salts built up in their medium (not in their plant or buds...).

If any of you Jacks citrus nute guys want to take the challenge, let me know. Any day, smoke yours and mine. In my pipe. Then go to a club and pick ten people to smoke with and have them compare the smoke. Not the high. The quality of smoke. Burn, scratch, taste, smell. Unless it's the same strain the high will be different. Or bring the same strain. If yours is better then mine, I'll switch. I don't pinch pennies. But great results and inexpensive? Never turn that away. If not in Cali, send me a sample and I'll video the test and responses. Then I'll send you a sample of mine. You take it and have friends smoke it against yours, but tell them it's a new strain your getting input about.

I don't agree with a large amount of people on this forum, and with the absolutely insane amounts of different methods and techniques that cannabis can be grown with, it's a super, super easy plant to grow, and in the end, if a grower has been using his or her method for years and producing fantastic herb with said methods and techniques, it'll be hard to convince their way is wrong (often the plant grows in spite of all the extra shit people do to it)

I'm one of those Jack's guys, I just had a guy fly in from Australia to sample my gear and actually I have had lots of visitors over the years and all forum members, so they post smoke reports in forums. I admit it is because I breed and they want my gear is why they come, can't get my gear in seedbanks. But that grower, who has been growing for 19 years said in his smoke report (and I can paste it if needed lol) that my Pineapple Express and Durban were the best he had ever had and he put my CTF in his top 10 ever smoked.
I use chem nutes till the end and I don't flush and I have never had a bad smoke report posted by anyone.

Can you take clones this far in flower ?

I have taken a clone 2 days before cutting down a girl (8 weeks in flower) and it rooted. Obviously this is not recommended, and it took forever but it is possible. I had to take 5 clones to get 1 that rooted. It is best to try to take clones that dont have bud on them, which is easier said than done. But find a growth spot with as little actual bud as possible and clone like normal. I actually cut away the bud as well. They can take weeks to root and months to re-veg but it is 100% possible. The clone will not root quickly and must be foliar fed water or placed in a very humid dome or it will not have any chance. I also recommend u reveg the clone and then clone that clone to use. Revegged clones r very very weird plants, the branches will grow wild and be flimsy and not support bud weight, not ideal for flowering in my opinion.

Many judge a smoke on the high only. I'm ready to do the Pepsi challenge any time. And no, mine isn't always the best. I've smoked many great grows. Mostly outdoor or organic indoors. And I grew with chemical nutes for years. And smoked the shit out of it.. Once you go full organic you don't go back, unless just for profit.

First, with all respect and honesty and not in the least a criticism... Riddleme's buds are NOT magical, mystical things that are better than anything you have ever come across. They are AS good or damn close to the best weed that people who remember the best weed have ever had though and for a lot of people who haven't had truly good pot it would blow away everything they know about weed.
I have smoked a lot of good buds in a lot of good places. It is also grown and cured to the highest standard. I have known a lot of good and average growers and have grown a lot of weed myself and I like a lot of it but out of hundreds of strains sampled, I could easily choose a desert Island top 10 from the last decade and a half. Maybe a dozen, but no more have been outstanding and really impressive. Riddleme did not unseat them all but added to them and may have reshuffled the order.

The Durban was a great Durban. I have known the power of the Durban for a long time and he has some good shit there. It is a little too up and racy, eye stinging and overwhelming for many and has never been one of my favourite smokes but it makes a great change from time to time and is always a popular smoke. I have particular and sometimes peculiar tastes in my smoke and am one of the few who doesn't love that shit- some of the "best" I've ever had but not what I'm looking for in a smoke personally.

The PE- well again I have had the pleasure of PE on more than one occasion and it is always good-great. Rid yours was probably the best BUT like the Durban, it is not what my brain and body crave, so I'm not the best one to document it. It is nice and strong, gets me high and smokes easy. It smells and tastes like a skunk shat out mango and pineapple diarrhea
