Had a Guatemalan friend. He joined the army and went to nam. He was promised citizenship for his service, got a couple of medals but was released after he accidentally pointed a claymore mine at a tree trunk. When he set it off during a firefight it cut the tree down and the tree injured some of his squad.
He told me of a euphoric drink they made in his country that was not alcohol. One would put a certain worm or bug in a jar of water and some kind of herb. After a few days they would strain it and drink it. He called them visions. He actually had some but i was hesitant to drink. I finally took a sip and got an effect not unlike a strong sativa. He said i didnt drink enough.
He and his family were finally deported and i never saw him again.
Anyone ever heard of such a thing?
