Blue Mystic growing under 330 Allstart CMH Bulb

Thanks to @PSUAGRO.,@GroErr, and @hyroot for showing me the way. I recently changed to CMH from HPS. I just wanted to show my first start to finish grow with the new bulbs.

I decided to push the envelope and do a 4x4 just to see what would happen. I kept the bulb 24" from canopy. I can tell you that the 330 allstart CMH worked just a well as a 600 apollo and 1000 apollo(was too much for tent). I have used both in my tent and the results were about the same. I believe I have more resin on the buds this time, and my plants are a lot healthier.

5 gallon hempy scrog with coco and hydroton for the rez. I feed with a 2 gallon bug sprayer to add O2 and makes it easy to mix.

I use Maxibloom(1 1/2 small scoops/per 2 gallon, CalMagic(cap full), Epsom salt(cap full), and during veg I added some Micro I had left from a 3 part. I am going to add Cal Nitrate next round now that I used up the Micro. I measured runoff each day and would adjust up or down depending on salt buildup and ph.

I had a Spider Mite infestation and battled fungus nats throughout the grow. Here are the pictures. I am about 2 weeks from harvest. The Bud shot is a bud in the far corner of the 4x4 tent to give you and idea of what can grow that far away from the bulb. Simple cheap and easy.

Would have never guessed you had those problems with this grow. Looking good man.
Thanks ayr0n. I am constantly battling spider mites and nats. They come and go, but with the scrog, I can not keep them out completely. Its too hard to get the spray on every leaf especially the leaves below the scrog. I caught them pretty early on this grow and stayed on top of them. I could not get rid of them, but I would nock them back with neem/ivory soap and capt jacks spinosad. I usually use mighty wash as well, but could not afford to use it this time. The neem/ivory soap kills them on contact, so it keeps them from causing too much trouble. I am going to have a gallon of mighty wash to add to the mix next round. I also use a layer of hydroton on the top to give the water something to bounce off off to add as much O2 as possible. Next round I am going to add a layer of sand to keep the fungus nats at bay. I will see how it works.

Wow, nice setup there @HappyPenguin :) Nice to see those pushed to 4x4 and still producing some nice bud, looks awesome.
Thank You GroErr. I have 2 4x4's going right now. The other one has a vertical reflector. I like the horizontal reflector better. The other grow ended up dome shaped with nice buds in the middle and smaller buds on the outside. The horizontal reflector 4x4 has quality buds all the way to the edge.

A layer of perlite worked well for me when I got a few gnats from soil that was stored outdoors at the store...layer of perlite n let everything dry out real well - never saw em again

Nice, looks like great coverage to the edges. If they can cover off that area and produce well that's amazing coverage for a 330w bulb.
