The ideological battle... guns

The handgun problem in this country is a real thing....
No, it's not.

That's what dumb cunts believe.

PEOPLE are the g'damned problem, NOT guns.

Is it the AUTOMOBILE that gets drunk and drives across a lane, hitting another vehicle head on, or is it the driver? Yea, that's right, it's the fucking driver. The car didn't do a g'damn thing except what the driver MADE it do, and the same g'damn thing applies with firearms.

Firearms are the "problem" when they aren't made properly and blow the fuck up in your face when you fire a round, or if they are mechanically broken and discharge a round without pressing the trigger. Other than that, they are simply a TOOL, and no more dangerous than your fucking kitchen stove, a chainsaw, OR that fucking SUV so many schmucks feel the need to drive.

So QUIT TRYING TO BLAME HUMAN BEHAVIOR ON INANIMATE OBJECTS.

You don't reduce drunk driving by fucking with the law abiding citizens' right to own and operate automobiles, you do it by fucking with DRIVERS that decide to drive drunk. Period.

correct. people are the problem.

smokey dan proposes we do an equipment alteration (since the safety does not operate as designed) much like prescription bottles and bic lighters.

No not just a safety.

I'm talking about a mechanism that could be put on the gun when it isn't in use.

It would have to be quick and simple to remove for that emergency that may come one day.
quicker than the network signal can produce from the watch on your wrist?..i doubt that.

Throw that gun in a fire and watch bullets start coming out all over the place.
additionally, you get attend that child's last birthday party in 2015, where you get to deliver the news of their impending death because your gun matters more than their life since you can't be bothered to make a small change such as wearing a wrist watch.

would you do it then?

BTW Skylar, that Gun shoots a .22 LR round. the .22lr is one of the least powerful cartridges made. That gun isn't a self defense gun, its a novelty and nothing more. Plus the fact that it costs $2,000 means no one is going to buy it when they can get a much nicer larger caliber pistol for $600.
NO ONE that uses a pistol for self defense will use a .22lr. It will take the entire magazine of shots to put down an old lady. My uncle was shot in the eye by a .22 and he lost the eye, didn't die.

Is that narcotic that is legal, is it a plant? Is it kratom or whatever they call it?

I already wear a wristwatch, but I would never rely on it to make my pistol shoot. I'm hard on watches, I actually work for a living and lead an active lifestyle. I have gone through more than 20 watches in my lifetime, Now I only wear older Seiko Automatic watches with sapphire crystal lens, they last me about 10 years before they are so beat up they quit working, although one year I broke 2 of them, but they were newer ones and had more delicate movements. One time, at band camp, I smacked the door knob of a door and shattered the crystal. And these are all metal watches with hard crystal, not plastic.

A person can still take your smart gun and shoot you with it. The gun only has to be within 10" or so of the watch to be activated.
One other thing, most right handed people wear a wristwatch on their LEFT wrist, but this Smart gun will require you to wear it on the wrist that has the gun, in other words, you will have to start wearing your watch on the RIGHT wrist instead.

And this is all supposed to save children.

I don't leave my guns laying around where they can access them, so the smartgun wouldn't do me any good at all, in fact it just might give so much false security that you might just leave the pistol out where others can get it because you assume its safe. Then your kid shoots you.

while at the child's birthday party you are able to have the child's life pass before your eyes, similar to what the child will see when the gunman enters child's classroom. except, you get a better version..not so rushed you witness the child's:

birth you're in the delivery room with the parents
1st smile
1st rolling over
1st crawling
1st walking
1st talking
1st day of kindergarten
birthdays past age 5
1st kiss
high school graduation
college graduation
wedding
career
their own baby

unfortunately, what you are witnessing will never move past their first day of kindergarten..this is just a memory of what would have been as the child will be already be dead.

would you wear a wrist watch, then?

No I wouldn't.
I'll be honest. I'm not the problem. Mine are locked up and my kids educated on them.

You see the dumb ass parents that are letting these kids get their guns are irresponsible, in which case they would leave the watch laying around. You get my point.

Quit trying to impose shit on us responsible people.

Impose the penalties on the ones that need it.

Would you quit letting murders parole out after 8-15 if it would save one kids life.

I already wear a wrist watch, did you already forget that?
so then wouldn't this be easy for you?

okay, back to it:

even if you must tell the parents face-to-face on the day their child dies that you had the opportunity in 2014 to save the child and all you had to do was wear a wrist watch..would you do it then?
