OK, I worded that wrong and you are correct. The problem is not handguns, it's IDIOTS with handguns. This is still my argument, that we need to address it on this level.

I stand by my earlier statement that more ineffectual laws are not the answer. I don't claim to know the answer, i just claim that the problem isn't long guns (or even idiots with long guns) it's the idiots with illegal handguns.

I honestly don't know how we get our idiots to stop shooting people, it's obvious what we've tried hasn't worked. Attacking law abiding citizens isn't the answer, but what is? It's already a longer sentence with a gun than without, so that really hasn't worked.

I don't know man, I grew up in Detroit, saw a lot of bad things happen but never carried a gun. I was taught early on how to use them, but also taught that if you pull one, you better be prepared to use one. I'm only prepared to do that in my house if you are an uninvited guest, and for that a shotgun works so much better.

I've noticed down south everyone seems to carry and I haven't seen stats, but it seems there is much less gun crimes (except in those cities with gun restrictions). Maybe the answer is an armed society is a polite society?

We're NOT going to stop idiots from being idiots...ever. The only thing that CAN be done is to remove idiots from society once they have identified themselves. One of the biggest reasons crime has dropped is that the 3 strikes your out policy, adopted by many jurisdictions, has KEPT recidivist shitbags off the streets LONGER, and this same approach to firearms crimes needs to be taken, minus the "three strikes" part.

You start tacking on 20 year minimum sentences for USING a firearm during the commission of a felony, and you're going to start to see a LOT more motherfuckers start using knives and or clubs instead of guns. While criminals are indeed dumb, there's quite a few "professionals" that fully understand sentencing guidelines, and WILL go out of their away NOT to be locked up for stupid shit like....bringing and using a gun to rob $200.00 from the local Mom & Pop when the same thing can be accomplished using a baseball bat. Sentencing certainly won't eliminate fucked up behavior, but it CAN reduce it, and it CAN keep idiots out of society for LONGER periods of time.

Regardless, it's the same dumb cunt liberals crying about firearms that cry about punishing motherfuckers that USE those firearms for criminal purposes. Fuck those dumb cunts, and the criminals they support.

Can you link the study for this chart? I don't know what it means by age adjusted firearm deaths.

Also, can you provide any value to the conversation? It's pretty early in the day for you to already be a drunken ass.

Cut him some slack. He hasn't always been this bitter and hateful. It's pretty obvious something in his life has gone to shit. I'm guessing his marriage now that she's out of school. There is no way an intelligent human can put up with his hate for too long. She must be a good person to have stuck it out this long.

You have it ALL wrong, My wearing that stupid watch isn't going to save anyone, because I would never use that gun for self defense, it is too low powered, it's like sending the Marines into Iwo Jima with BB guns. That and it costs 4-6 times as much as a normal pistol which also will never kill a child.

So you're standing in line at the grocery store behind a woman and her 2 daughters, one is around 5 years old and the other is 6 months. Mom is fumbling through her purse when all of a sudden a man with a high power hunting rifle appears, yells something about Ted Cruz and starts taking slow methodical shots at people. Every shot kills one person, after he has run out of bullets he drops the rifle and pulls a pistol from his waistband and walks up to your aisle and shoots the mother in the head, then the 6 month old falls to the floor and he shoots her, and then shoots the 5 year old girl, then he aims it at you and lights out.

Why would you let so many people die when you could have prevented all the killings just by carrying a normal 9mm pistol and using it?

People like you that would let people just get killed like that make me sick.:spew::spew::spew:
