I used to have a basement grow but am thinking of moving to a spare bedroom instead. Do you filter to the outside/another room or just within the same room?i have a second bedroom that comes off my bedroom. out of the way from the rest of the house and handy.
We have a pretty big house with a portion of it used only for growing. There is a section if the house that is not used by my family. It's on one end of the house. The previous owners called it the guest wing. It's two bedrooms, a bathroom, and two huge closets in the hallway of this "wing". It's part of the house, under the same roof but it seems like a house of it's own. You get to it from the den and it has it's own door. It even has it's own central air and heat. Pretty cool.
I have a whole bedroom dedicate to flowering. The other bedroom has tents in it, one for my wife and one for my special stuff and plenty of space for grow stuff like extra fans, nutes and other grow related stuff. The two huge closets are for clones, seedlings and vegging. And of corse the bathroom is for watering and stuff.
I must say i feel pretty lucky to be able to have the setup I have. I sure do love my wife, she pays the mortgage, lol.
my girl does too I think we're doing something right @polo the don"wife, she pays the mortgage, lol."

People don't notice when they come to your door? I have a tough time containing the smell during flower.I'm in an apartment. I have my flower tent in a walk-in closet/storage area, one veg tent in my living room, and a cloning tent underneath of my breakfast bar.

I rarely have people come to my door. When they do, the smell is very contained due to carbon filters. Sometimes when I let certain strains veg for too long they get very smelly, but when that happens, I either put them into flower if I have space (there's NO smell that comes out of my flower tent) or I chop them and throw them away.People don't notice when they come to your door?
