Thinking of starting up and Online Hydroponic Shop

Anyone here own (have owned) , or even worked at a hydroponic shop? Wanna give me any tips, suggestions; the do's and don'ts of the business?

Still in the middle of researching (this is what this is), been talking to a few people but nothing set in stone yet.

It can work really well. My friend has 2. An online shop which operates from Finland with one person running it over there and a head shop here which he posts seeds from.

As with any business, do your due diligence first. This being part of it I suppose.

be experienced with your products and in hydro i don't know shit about hydroponics but im just saying

and dont say "grows the weed you need" its for scientific crop growing not "buy my hydro equipment to grow some killer green" that will get you shut down if you live in a non medical state and/or get your customers arrested for growing cuz they go to a store that sells hydro equipment for "marijuana manufacturing"

in fact there was a family that got raided by the DEA for growing weed but the thing is they wernt growing anything but tomatoes it was a father and son science experiment to grow hydroponic tomatoes

but they went to a hydroponics store and the feds dug thru there trash and saw stems and hydro equipment boxes


it would help to post this in the hydro section cuz they would be able to tell u more then us low life trolls that hang out at the toke n talk

I had alot of problems with indoor growing equipment manufacturers when i still owned the dispensary , i wanted to add a fully stocked hydroponic sales dept to the business & had many of the big names in indoor growing shit on me because of the connection with pot .

I do know the cost to profit ratios are out fucking standing with main line grow gear if you can get it going .

I don't think there is any money in doing this the honest way, you could sell peters classic and everyone would be happy. I mean seriously you don't need all the extra bullshit bottles that hydro stores sell you, and that is why I don't see it being profitable. Also, I wouldn't purchase from you as I don't know how long your product sits.

You are 'late to the party', and you'll need serious business game to catch up in that low margin business.

What will set you apart? Why should people buy from you instead of Hydrofarm?

With HTG having their own manufacturers allowing them to pretty much control online prices & crush any other manufacturers prices on grow lighting i dont see how any lighting could be profitable online .
