I bet there were snow capped peaks in the background then too.
The climate was bone dry.... There was no moisture and our cattle died off in very great numbers ... Before the year 1864 had passed away, there was perfect devastation. Such a thing was never before known in California. --Juan Forster, Rancho Santa Margarita Droughts are common in California, always have been. Long before scientists suggested a "greenhouse effect" and the possibility of permanent climatic change, pioneers coped with erratic and disastrous wet/dry cycles.

The drought of 1862-65 was a catastrophe for the state of California--a bitter dry period, preceded by unusually heavy rains and accompanied by an untimely epidemic of smallpox.

The decade of the 1860s began with little hint of the natural catastrophes ahead. For several years in succession, gentle autumn and winter rains had fallen with consistency, supporting vast grasslands that fed immense herds of cattle.

But in the winter of 1861-62, rains of biblical proportions came to California.

What is your point? That because of some drought a century and a half ago, that explains why snow capped peaks are no longer a common sight in the background of the San Diego skyline?

Pro-tip: There hasn't been such a sight since the 80's.

The point is nucleation, aerosols and cosmic rays in the CLOUD experiment at CERN.

The average Filipino woman is taller than you.
Foreigners who would vote republican are even sadder than domestic ones.. Think about it, they're living abroad, outside of the sphere of direct American influence, and they STILL want to suck Uncle Sams nuts more than I do..

What does that tell you about ol' Herrekin's opinions..

It isn't like Ireland has really ever been an independent nation.

I'd never vote for a social conservative or a democratic republican. Too right and left (in that order) for me.

99% of the time I vote independent or write myself in.

I'd rather vote for neither of the evils rather than the slightly less evil like you idiot Democrats vote.

Keep believing that and see if anything ever really changes other than the letter in front.
Are you one of those people who see no demonstrable difference between party affiliation? (even though I just linked 50 different issues with clear and obvious differences)

What's better, indefinite detention of American citizens without trial or not?

To be clear, I'm not saying "democrats are awesome!!!" or any such bullshit the people that disagree with me would have you believe, I'm saying that when it comes to real issues that are important, democratic politicians are demonstrably better for American interests than Republicans, and anybody that fails to acknowledge that is lying.
