I've got a shirt from the Cultivate grow store in Wheatridge , CO , it has A64 printed on the back of it with the Cultivate grow store logo on the front of it. I guess it just depends on who you do business with and where you're at. The way I got the shirt was I was in there one day and asked if they had any T-shirts with their company logo on it, I even offered to buy one if it wasn't too expensive, the guy behind the counter asked me my size and gave me the shirt. I noticed that it had A64 printed on the back which stands for the recreational legalization bill that passed in 2012. This was in the summer of 2013 when I got the shirt. If that isn't a declaration that that store is pro-legalization then I don't know what is. lol
It's a great advertisement tool for a grow store to make a public statement like that because people out in public see that shirt and it will draw in new customers who are herb growers themselves. That takes guts for a grow store to print up shirts endorsing a still very controversial topic like that and attaching their company name to it. Though from what I've seen in almost all grow stores in and around the Denver area is most people who work in them don't really know anything about growing , it's more like they just parrot what the sales reps tell them about the products they carry. It's just me but I'd never trust any grow information from a grow store employee even if they did say they grew marijuana. I'd rather dig into the online forums and journals online where growers with very detailed grows and albums with lots of good feedback and credibility have been earned and built up over time compared to taking some grow store employee's advice.
I think the grow stores will lighten up after 2016 when about 10 more states pass full legalization. It's not going to be too many more years before it's legal in all states. Then , no grow store will care and I think they'll start putting up posters of marijuana inside the grow stores. I think that will be seen before this decade is over. Everything is going to go into warp drive after the 2016 voting year.
A lot of grow store owners know the history of what happened in the raids of Operation Green Merchant that happened in 1989 when 46 states all on the same day had DEA raids in grow stores related to a bullshit sting. I can't blame the grow stores that are still scared to OPENLY talk about marijuana growing. There are still some people think that when a Republican administration comes into the white house in 2016, if one comes in, that recreational legalization will be over turned in all the states that it's passed. I think that's bullshit, legalization won't be over turned. Feds have just opened the door to legalization in southern states like Oklahoma by saying they don't care if Native Americans on Native American land grow and sell marijuana, even in completely illegal states. That is a major sign the Feds are throwing in the towel. That's going to open up legal sales all over Oklahoma and places like Cherokee, North Carolina and the Seminole tribe of Hollywood, Florida if the Native Americans choose to start growing and selling herb on their land and it's going to drive the local state , county and city law enforcement nuts knowing they can't go onto any Native American land and exercise any type of authority but they sure are going to bust all the buyers as they drive off Native American land.
These are interesting times for legalization. This is why 2016 will be the year that forces other states to pass legalization when a whole bunch of states pass it all at once.
