Male/female plants

I need to know if this is true; I read on a site that if you trim the male parts that female parts will take over and you won't get anymore males. Here is a direct passage from the site:

"Within three weeks the male plants will have what look like little balls forming on the branch. The females will have two tiny white hairs emerging from a immature calyx. The males can now be removed and you are guaranteed a crop of all females. Remove the plastic from the branch of the female and she will begin growing again."

Can someone with some experience let me know what you think? Thanks!

i'd say they mean get rid of the male plants as a whole

not talkin about takin balls of the plant they are talkin about waiting to see what sex ur plant is and if there are males remove them.

I aint no expert, but that reads to me like they want you to cover up the female "bud sites" (hairs, calyxes, sex glands, etc) with plastic as they appear, then when the males show thier sex remove the entire male plant to avoid pollenating the females.
Sounds like you want to know if you can remove the male stamens from a "hermie" (both male and female parts) and have a female. Thats best left to the experts here, but I doubt that you can do that.
