The problem with your example is one is fiction one is not... therein meaning james bond can be a damn unicorn if they can make the plot make sense.
If we are poking holes in james bond's plot though how about the fact that there have been like 5 different bonds... kinda pokes a hole in the argument calling for congruity in the plot. thats just my opinion though.
What in the plot makes it so he can not be a black person? I realize this is dangerous stereotype territory. But if your only argument is he can't do it because white guys did it before him I am lost since the plot does not require he have a skin type.
