hydro or soil? Nutes? It maters because if you say hydro, you would consider lowering ph slightly more, unless using nutes , as most will lower ph (to an adequate level to survive). If using soil you would be ok with tap water that comes out around 7. Ish as long as you have adequate amendments. Any thing acidic WILL lower your ph , piss, cola, citric acid, vinegar, lemon juice but aren't ideal. Use a good silicon additive for a ph up if your in hydro (use every watering untill 4 weeks into flowering).

Man, if something goes wrong it's always a problem with pH.

pH and Mg....everyone's favorite whipping boyz.
if ph is out of whack then plant cant feed and the newts don't get absorbed...so yea always check ph first when there is a problem

PH DOWN

Sulfuric Acid (battery acid)
Citric Acid (powder or from citrus juice)
Ammonium Sulfate
Vinegar

PH UP

potassium hydroxide
baking soda (only for short time use, builds up)

I recommend picking one that is good for plants not just safe for plants.

And when growing in soil how do people check, they read runoff. Then because the pH of the runoff indicates nothing about the mediums true pH they start chasing that imaginary number and really start fucking things up.
