It's the airpump/airstones that are messing up with your PH. if your plants don't have a massive root system yet and you have A LOT of air bubbling in your tank, that will cause it.

just take 2 buckets. set the ph on both on ......lets say 5.5. in one of them place an airstone connected to a airpump. check next day your ph

tried it last night,,, ur wright the bucket with bubbles went up from 5.5 -5.9, other bucket only went up from 5.5 -5.6 i think thats from comin to room temp from cold water...who'd of thought bubbles increase the ph?? thanks learn shit everyday ,even after 10 yrs of growin

using gh maxi increasing the nutes or ppm lowers my ph, but if i just go with the recomended dosage 1 tsp per gal my ph is 5.7 every time,, i dont even check it anymore, always 5.7 with grow and 5.9 with maxi bloom, so w the bloom i add a couple drops of down and check my res once a week to add water nutes and ph check.. 1 week after res change ph is always 5.8-6.0 using net cupsw/ 3' rockwool. so every week i add 5 gallons at a ph of 5.5 and it puts the res back to=5.7 in my bloom room

Ever try the "lucas formula" ? I use that for my hydro and just add some cal mag to it. Really easy line of nutrients it is just gh micro, bloom and cal mag. I never ph my water as it always seems to find that sweet spot for me. Boy I am loving this godfather kush right now.

By any chance the name brand of the clay pebbles wasn't plant!t with the funny I was it? That brand sucks the crystallize up on the top of my netpots and crush easily. Hydroton clay pebbles are way better.

My 2p worth... pebbles don't have a great capillary action I wouldn't use more than 1" of pebbles in the bottom of the pot with the medium on top.

Perlite would be my 1st choice, I think using half pebbles would limit the supply of nutrients until roots get down into the pot.

Did you have any issues like having to hand water?
