i have 5 lemon kush seedlings. they sprouted 2 weeks ago and are still on their first set of true leaves. its been 5 days and they havent grown any at all. im using mg organic soil and for lighting i have a 135w blaqstar led and two 300w cfl. one seedling leaves have curled down so much the tips are touchig the stem. im wondering if its to much light causing the problem.

I do seedlings with a 15 watt T8

unless you have those lights you mentioned 4 feet away, yes it could be harmful

Yeah it can. I don't know how many people on here tell me they have their seedlings under a hid lighting and don't know why their seedlings are dying. Please take rm3 advice and use very low wattage but keep the light close. I use t8 as well and keep them a few inches away.

yeah it's possible to use HID but there's really no point as t5/t8 will veg them much better with much closer nodes, save tons of money on electric and also produce less heat

Grow with what ever works at what ever distance works for your own grows. This is general info. I keep an air-cooled 1000 minimum 18" from canopy. The canopy is always under 78 degrees but any closer it causes damage to the plant no matter how cool the canopy is. Pro growers keep their lights 3 feet or more above the tops. You'll learn closer is not always better in time

\MG might be the problem
Mg is real rough on seedlings. I put a few of mine in MG seed starter thinking it was fine but it burns them. It was either throw them all cause they were dying or change the soil. I gently removed the soil rom the roots and transplanted them into a peat perlite mix with no nutrients. They all lived.

I use my veg space with a 1000w mh to get seeds going all the time. I usually have a few larger plants in there as well, so the seedlings distance from my light is probably 3+ feet away like RM3 mentioned.

Yeah, 3-4' is about the distance I use for seedlings if I happen to throw some under HID too

The MG does suck for seedlings, the shultz moisture control works better if going the cheap-o bagged soil route, it also will keep a mother plant healthy for like 3+ months with just adding some water, works well for the price
