Is Integration the key to peace?

I think if you took 1 million people of all different races, religions and social practices and plopped them down in the middle of an uninhabited planet you would see groups form almost instantly around those same constructs.
It is normal human behavior to prefer to be around the people that you understand the most, that have the same general opinions about things, and share in the same lifestyles.

My view will be viewed as racist, I am sincerely sorry should you take offense, however what is now broadly classed as racist, was once a fundamental step in keeping cultural heritage. I believe integration and the tactics used to force it is destroying our world. I believe integration would work if it was done with consideration to the host culture however, I don't believe the mindset the world is currently in will allow it.

My wife is a gypsy, her mother irish traveller, her dad Romany (English gypsy with black skin). But both of their cultures have merged in the last 50 or so years to become one identity. Irish travellers have created a new identity more like 60's American culture. Children born to irish traveller families have a false perspective of their own culture. Does their merging bring peace amongst them, no. If any thing it brings more hostility, because they now have to share the same sites. Each one believes superiority over the other. This superiority complex is passed on through one generation to another.

If you put toddlers of different races in a room, everyone would play and get along for the most part. Children don't see race, I guess that's one of the beauties of our youthful innocents. Racism and segregation is taught.

i am quite happy for folk to come to the UK and make it their home
having grown up in London which is one of the most ethnically diverse places on the planet various other cultures have always been the norm for me
i'm sure it would feel quite strange for me to live in a place with only white Christians or whatever

in the UK the people are divided more by class/wealth than they are race imo
i get the impression that in the USA race is a bigger divide, weather that's true or not i don't know

i would feel more affinity towards a black/brown/yellow male from my social economic class, than i would another white male from another social class

Fat children are the most hated apparently
when they show children pictures of other children from different races, disabled children etc and ask,
"who would you least like to be friends with" they overwhelmingly pick the fat kid

i grew up in an area with a large Romany gypsy presence , back then the Romany gypsies hated the Irish travelers
they would call them dirty tinkers and say "they are not like us"

oh dear goodness...where have all the good people gone.
well to each their own i guess it will never happen ....perhaps we can make a time travel device that any actions of said people wont change the future and we can ship em all back to the 1700s

many Romani have black skin bro I grew up in London also. They got the name gypsy it is believe from peoples assumption ( and their own ) that they come from Egypt but in all likelihood they were from India. English would say 'jel a tuvler' Irish would say 'crushme a steamer, sublick'

there certainly were no black gypsies on the thistlebrook gypsy site when that was around

not sure my mate I've stopped personally at two London sites both council run and filled mainly with Irish one Bow site another in slough.

must just be the times mate, im talking 20 years ago lol
the thistlebrook site was the biggest gypsy site in Europe it was between Thamesmead and Abbey Wood, south east london
it was like 95% white skinned romany, and 5% irish gypsies

since then i have not lived in parts of london that have gypsies
