organic bottle nutes killing microherd?

@greenmachine I was just to say the same thing that it's all over "the revs" book about tlo.

see my problem is here I used EJ once before in this grow so I'm not sure if I destroyed my microherd and I'm having problems with the leaves shown in the two pictures. So I don't know if a "tea" will actually work in this case. I keep going back and forth in my head unsure of what to do.

also not sure which line you ran but all my sugar peak products have ZERO clumps In it. Yes there are small particles like there would be with any organic nutrient.

I just read the back of the sugar peak bottles and it says nothing about chelating acids so I'm guessing it's ok to use. Just like big bloom by fox f arms if perfectly fine to use in a TLO grow same with organicare pure 5-5-5.

Yes probable wouldn't do any harm than.

What's your water source. Sorry If I missed it earlier. ?

If they do then how do microbes live in DWC for a while until they run out of food ?
Why do some nutrient companies make microbes in bottles to add to salts ?

Synthetic nutrients WILL kill all living organisms in your soil or water so not sure what exactly you mean @TWS.

I'm using mostly distilled water but every once in awhile I run out and then I use tap water which is 105ppm and I let it bubble for 24hrs.

maybe not ? bongsmilie

Heres one example of bacteria in a bottle that is added to sythentic nutes that lives and does it's job. Same concept of ACCT in a DWC system keeping root rot away.

heres another one .

Great white etc

The funny thing is ..... none of the directions say to use RO water ?

Now you and I would probably know better but why wouldn't the manufacture write that if it was necessary ?

different subject yet one in the same as how much harm does watering with regular tap water really harms your herd if most chlorine clings to the first couple of inches of soil as some studies have suggested .

bubbling water does not get rid of chloramine.

just food for thought.

I know adding benneficials from time to time with synthetics defintley adds to the health of the plants. Outdoors I feed the Acct and feed the herd but still water with the hose.

Yea i know about the chloramine but i figure at least the chlorine isgone and i figure iit's better than using a product like seachem to chemically get rid of chlorine and chloramine but i may be wrong.

i do the same thing.. i use distilled water to make teas for outdoor crops but then water with the hose a few days later... lol just trying to do my best.

any thoughts of what the yellowing in my leaves looks like? I just put that white widow and green love potion into flower.

My best edjumacated guess. Needs Mg. maybe ca. Especially with distilled. Epsom salts. Calmg product maybe. Lightly

Yep i added some Epsom salt and calplex in with a high N tea.

my only pet peeve when it comes to any type of soil growing is it takes 3-10 days to see if the problem goes away or just continue to get worse. Thankfully I very rarely have any issues but when I do that's when I ALMOST wish I was growing either RDWC or aero...

I think this summer since I mostly do a huge outdoor grow in the warm months and rarely grow inside I'll do a aero or RDWC grow usibg organic EJ next to my normal organic grow using the same genetics and see just how fast the growth is with a hydro grow and the taste difference.

I've been growing organically since day one (or at least I thought I was haha) so I never had the chance to see how fast hydro does grow or how harsh hydro is. Who knows maybe it will convince my to go over to the dark side of hydro and bottled nutrition. Muahaha.... doubt it

This might sound confusing because microbes work in DWC but organics don't. Not a good I dear sir. Go straight to the synthetics .

True organics don't work in hydro with bacteria eating and breakingdown and the soil web etc etc.. but you can absolutely use a organic nutrient like EJ or roots organic. I would go with fully synthetic for the hydro test but I only have AN connesiour a+b. Which will definitely not be enough.

Im not so sure about that . Have you done this before with those products ? You will breed more bad bacteria then good. I think as close as you can get is to something like Pure blend pro. One of the common rules to DWC is no organics. IMHO

Yes he does. He even recommends using it if something goes wrong and you needs more nutes to push you threw until harvest. That big bloom will not affect your microherd.

i bite the bullet and just MAKE time to mix up the teas and the plants are thanking me for it.
