Has any one noticed a difference between hours of light for vegging plants? I started off at 24 for the first 4 weeks tonight im dropping it to 20/4 thinking in 2 weeks going to 18/6 and keeping it there till i go into flowering. Any one have anything to say about 20/4 or 18/6 for vegging?

Currently, I have switched to the 12/1 Gas Light Veg and I'm lovin it. Before I was doin 16/8. Thing is the more dark time they have in veg the less they stretch and faster they flower

well im thinking im going to stick to my plan....stay on 20/4 for the next 2 weeks then go to 18/6 for 2 weeks in hopes to put them into flowering on feb 4...ish giving me enough time to harvest before 420...my babies are 4 weeks old a harvest before 420 should be doable right?

Do you like your new method in regards to a particular way you train your plants or do you just let them grow how they want.

"Doable" depends on what you are growing. I am now trying the 18/6 method with 2 plants the whole way through veg so I don't have any real first hand knowledge but I have heard good things.

I started doin it cause I wanna grow land race Sat's indoors and it is one of the tools for reducing the stretch. The other thing I've seen is more bud sites. It also helps with internode stretching. After what I've seen so far, I will not be switching back

Ok, good shit. So how much have you been able to reduce stretch? I ask because of my current grow space being really limited to grow Indy or Indy hybrids. I keep my temps kinda constant weather the lights are on or off, it to I have noticed helps with internode stretching. How exactly does the light method and gas cycle work?
srichard sorry about jacking the thread!

Where do you get your landrace seeds from? Have heard about a lot of bogus seeds.
I am a breeder, most of the stash I have was gifted to me over the years, most of what I grow are my own strains. I have ever only purchased seeds twice.
