if there opium poppys ( which i doubt )
you wait till leaves fall off , slit the bud with razor , heat until a clearish goo comes out and it will turn brownish black when cool ( like sticky hash ) ..... You got opium
heroin a chemical process , idk out that.
That isnt quite how it works.
The bud is a capsule. One waits till the crown turns upwards after the petals fall. The capsule will expand, turn a dusty blue green and mature for a week or two. The leaves tend to stay on the plant until it dies.
You score the skin of the pod (capsule) not so deep that you penetrate the inner wall.
If your plant is mature a rather thick white latex will ooze from the wound. You can wait an hour while it sets and then scrape the curdled latex off but you may find it will continue to ooze. Or do as the professionals do and leave the latex to set iver night. It will turn yellow, brown or black and be very tar like. Scrape this off and keep it.
You can wait a day or two and repeat. The second and third milking will yield less and the opium produced will not be as strong.
You can smoke it after it is dry, but you probably wont get enough to waste smoking., just eat it and chase it with a sip or two of extra virgin olive oil.
Not too much now, the stuff can be shockingly potent and you could make yourself sick.
If you do get enough then after it is dry, put it in water, simmer it for five or ten minutes and then lift it out. When hot it is pliable, after it cools it is a thick sort of clay. This is cooked opium and a realt treat to smoke, all by itself in an opium or oil pipe. Open flame will destroy a large amount of the active ingredients so make sure you heat it indirectly.
The smoke tastes wonderful and the gentle rush of a lungfull of o is like nothing else.
