Wow. America's favorite racist is "calling for an emergency meeting" to straighten out Hollywood.

Said Sharpton: "The movie industry is like the Rocky Mountains, the higher you get, the whiter it gets".

Wow, isn't this the same industry that overwhelmingly votes democrat and made huge donations to Obama? I guess it's a fine industry when brown-nosing them for donations, but now it's "too white"?

Gee, why doesn't Sharpton also move to straighten out the Rap Music industry and integrate more whites into it?

There used to be a white entertainment television, it was called network TV. There was a market need for BET, that's why it's thrived. I don't think it's racist to cater to a certain market when that market is large enough to make it profitable. Univision is Spanish speaking, I don't think it's being prejudiced against English speaking people, it just fills a market need.

I understand your point, if there was a White Entertainment TV station (WET is porn isn't it?) there would be outrage from the race pimps, but it's time we marginalize those people.

I understand your point and still can't make myself care, sorry that you seem to. It caters to country music fans, it doesn't package itself as a network for white country music fans (which is redundant, I know). I think that's the issue some people have with the double standard of BET and the Sharpton think a-likes. We need a black Oscars with only black winners just segregates yourself more and creates division with those who gaf. I don't watch the Oscars (you can't win if the movie sucks) or any of the award shows for broadway or music either. I know what I like and don't need polls and popularity contests to validate my opinion like so many here. I will know who won by the next day anyway, you can't avoid that shit. It's like the royals.

I see nothing wrong with BET, CMT, UNI and whatever the WB is these days. I'm good with celebrating our differences instead of wishing we all look alike, act alike and think alike like all of those posters here who "liked" that magazine cover of "the future". Embrace our uniqueness, don't be skeered of it.

White people bitching about BET, black people countering with "but CMT" and women who bitch about Playboy TV need to all find a hobby. If there is a large enough segment who wants a product, that product will be made available.
