My experience tells me the old guy used his time after several years of some hardcore weed usage to begin a new hobby it appears that he's holding some recently harvested extremely rare big foot testicles and from the hills behind him chances are there are more where they came from.......!

@Dr.Pecker indoor gets you burned out quickly if you are not expanding. Every crop I re-invest back to graden, buy more lights. On my 16 th light... :D

It gets to the point where you can't keep up, then you realize why we love it...

Don't get me wrong I like doing it its a great hobby. I've just been at this for several years without a break I just stay home all the time cooped up. Just wanted to know what do you guys do when or if you get burned out?

I need a break but It wont happen. I need a month off or something. What do you guys do? Shutting down is not an option.
A serious answer, I block out 2-3 days and get roaringly drunk to excess....requires puking. If you don't feel "at ease" ya got another day to do the same. Its never taken me more than 3 days. I call it reset and adjust, doesn't really fix anything other than perspective, but its worked for over 60 yrs

I don't know your alien code.
Oh, sorry. When I get burnt out on the grind, I usually call Finshaggy and ask him and his sister to drop by to watch my grow. Well the sister usually doesn't stay - we go to Cabo together. But Fin stays and takes care of the girls. He sleeps in my bed and sits on my toilet. Sometimes he leaves the caps off my erasable markers but the white board content that he leaves behind easily makes up for it. I always leave a lot of white boards behind when Fin comes over. New ones. I've easily made hundreds of DodgeCoinz with the ideas he leaves behind. Totally practical things.

And the plants! Well, they are always almost all dead, but this just keeps me motivated for the future. Oh yeah, he uses almost all the rice - no matter how much I leave him.

hell, i get burned out after 3 months of growing, and take cuts and put them into stasis in the fridge. this'll buy you a good month off...

I hear you this is my 10th year of doing this without a break so believe me I know exactly where you are coming from. It feels like you are chained to the grow and you are in a sense .. it's just part of the gig.

yesterday and the day before that was spent working cleaning glass on a bunch of magnum xxl hoods and fixing some leaks some needed to be re taped, etc. Then clean the walls with physan and the floors , then today most of the day was spent pressure washing flood tables and reservoirs. Next is pumps and whatever. the 2 weeks prior was spent doing a big harvest .

It is a job and somebody has to do it. Finally the op is clean and ready to fill. Then I can do the last transplant and I finally get a break for a couple weeks of maintenance of a few hours a day, then BAM I got another op ready to comedown and all that has to be repeated elsewhere.

This shit really can give somebody cabin fever, thats why I always like the name cabin fever ( the seed co.) << I know exactly where that is coming from.

I know of a lot of people who are serious grow hermits. When that happens it's not forever just stack the paper and the paper better be lookin right too this shit is a sacrifice and a commitment I don't care what anybody says, anybody who says different hasn't done it for very long or they do it on a small scale or they have plenty of helping hands making it a smaller task. If you run a decent size op and stretch yourself thin it is a big commitment thats just part of the gig.

Me personally I exercise that is the best thing I can think of + I was doing that anyways before I started. I am happy with that.

work. grow. stack paper. repeat. finally in a few more days I should be all caught up and on auto cycle with a little more free time at least for a few weeks .

I can think of a lot worse situations to be in , I consider myself lucky and I am happy with it, and anybody who doesn't like it fuck em nobody said they had to like it !

anyhow theres my rambling on the subject its only periodic but for the most part its a gravy job..
