Do my girls need more "N"

My girls are on day 13 of flower and a few of the leaves are turning yellow. I'm growing them in FFOF and using Earth Juice nutes. Last feeding they got 1Tbsp Grow, 1Tbsp Bloom, and 1tsp Catalyst. I've got them on a water, water, feed schedule. What you all think? More "N?"

the plants use alot of N in there first 3 weeks of Flower which is mainly still them growing. If You checked your ph and its fine i would say just add sum more N till you hit week 3 then slow it down.

Yea, that was my thought too. I don't think they are deficient in anything else.

Yea, it looks like they could use some N, N is a mobile nutrient so when deficient symptoms will start at the bottom of the plant and progress up

I always leave my tap water sit for 24 hours before I add any EJ, and then I leave the solution bubble for 24 hours. I gave them 1tsp Catalyst per gallon of tap water (Ph 6.5) last time I watered. The runoff water Ph was low at 5.4 and that was due to forgetting to adjust the Ph a couple waterings ago. I would give them straight Ph 6.5 water, but I have only been feeding them every third watering so I don't think there is any risk of over feeding them nutes. I'm using 1.5 Tbsp Grow, 1Tbsp Bloom, 1tsp Catalyst per gallon water. Besides that these girls have really been growing nice, and I haven't actually lost any big leaves yet. I just don't want it to get out of control. On a side note, here is the single northern lights plant I was growing and had to pull 'cause he grew balls. And the second photo is what's left of him. lol

I'm pretty sure my low soil Ph is the cause of my problem with my plants. I'm growing them in FFOF and I didn't give them any nutes for the first thirty days since sprout. Then I started them on a 1/3 dose of EJ nutes and as of two waterings ago they are getting 1.5 Tbsp Grow 1 Tbsp Bloom, 1 Tsp Catalyst per gallon water. I had been using a water, water, feed, schedule but I'm going to start giving nutes every other watering. Today is day 19 of flower. Anyone have experience with FFOF soil? I'm curious how long it holds it's buffering ability? Should I add some dolomite lime? Any advise is appreciated even if I don't take it. lol

If it were me I would add a tad more N. 6.5 is a tiny bit low in my humble opine. If u add a little lime ur plants may green up a little. You're not far off and ur plants look healthy.
You're gonna lose a few bottom leaves. No big whoop.
Next run add a tbsp dolo lime into ur soil mix and some nice earthworm castings for some organic, not too hot N. Hope that helps.

Awe man, thanks for the advice. My water out of the tap is over Ph 8.0 and the tds is 124 I believe. I let the tap water sit for 24 hours, and when I add the Earth Juice nutes the Ph drops to under 5.0. I leave the solution bubble for 24 hours, adjust Ph, then try to feed early in the morning. Think it would help to sprinkle some lime on top now since I'm only a couple weeks into flower? Thanks again. Peace

8 out of the tap is high and 5 is really really low however soil had an amazing buffering capacity also. Its not too late to add the lime. U can do it as a drench too. 1 tbsp/gal dolomite lime and water in.

are u saying low nitrigen levels show from the bottom up? ive heard that if yellowing starts atthe top first its a sign of to much p..sow bottom up n top down p right??

N, P, and K deficiencies typically affect the lower, or older, leaves first and climb up the plant. My problem isn't due to any deficiency, the Ph of the soil was way too low. My runoff water was Ph 6.1 this morning, so I hope to get it back to 6.5 in a couple days. If the leaves stop turning yellow I'll know I've corrected the problem. These girls are the cat's meow. One plant has four 9" colas, and the other has 3 colas a bit smaller. I apparently snipped where I shouldn't have, and the result was three colas. Oops.

You'd be better off with hydrated lime at this point, in my opinion. Quicker absorption by the soil, as dolomite really should be mixed at the beginning into your soil, as it breaks down slower. I have had this issue, and the hydrated worked quicker I found.

Boron, Calcium, Copper, Fungus Gnats, Heat Stress, Iron, Light Burn, are all deficiencies that can cause yellowing of the upper, newer, growth first.

You also just top dress the soil and work it in with your fingers about 2 inches deep. 1 Tblsp per gallon of soil is what I use. The plants look great. A couple yellow leaves in flower is ok. Its probably a little hungry that's all.

Hey thanks! Your talking about top dressing with dolomite lime? I'm picking some up today along with some earthworm castings. What are your thoughts on the hydrated lime? Gonna check on it when I go to the hydro store.

Don't get hydrated or fast acting lime. Plain powdered lime.

Isnt hydrated too caustic on plants roots? I only know from what ive read and so i avoided it. However if u think it may work better im interested to know...and what rate would u use? Would u mix it as a solution and water in? Thx.
