Just a question @sunni

What are the limitations a vegan has with regard to using a product derived from animals? Is there an age cut-off, e.g can a vegan wear leather if it's a certain age, is there a "humanitarian" aspect, e.g. could they use animal products/derivatives if the animal(s) died naturally? Is there a cut-off with regard to the animals considered when it comes to being a vegan? e.g. plankton isn't really an animal so does it count.

I have my own preconceptions, but there is a specific "trick question" that was brought up recently that was deemed "quite interesting" :)

Sunni is right, everyone's different. People have different reasons for not eating and not using animal products.

I don't have the moral problem as much as I care about my health. Eating cows that are fed corn and given hormones and antibiotics doesn't seem healthy or desirable to me. Chickens that are genetically modified, and stand in their own shit there whole lives, in close quarters.. Is just asking for diseases. Has anyone googled outbreaks from poultry or meat? My personal preference.
I don't eat meat, chicken, fish, cheese..

But I will drink raw milk and eat eggs . Weird as hell I know.

Everyone's different

My roomie is a vegetarian. She makes protein shakes and cooks really bland tasteless food. And she has a whole shelf dedicated to friggin tea. Pffft.
I'll stick to fried bologna sandwiches and milk shakes.
who the hell has an entire shelf worth of tea o_O
maybe shes just a shitty cook though ... ive had some pretty bad vegan food made by little natural restaurants

In Berkeley CA some put a severed Boar's head at two different locations. Then media is taking it out to say it was against vegans.

NSFV (not safe for veg/vegans)
News link http://sfist.com/2015/01/20/two_severed_boars_heads_found_on_be.php
A good buddy of mine stuck a boar head on an old clothes line post in his front yard in order to let the bugs strip it. He lives JUST outside of city limit. As in his side of the road is county and across the street is city.

Anyway, lol, the Christians took it to be upon a cross and therefore sacrilegious.
The Muslims took it as hate speech towards them.

In the end, after a visit from the sheriff's department and one from animal control, the head stayed there until it was finished.
