Suggestions for Scrog strain Indoors.

Hey Rollitup,

It has been a while since I have been on this site its good to be back, I would like to know what strains new or old yield high and still maintain potency and flavor. I'm hoping for rather large harvest of quality and flavorful flower.
This grow will be indoors under a 400w hps in a bubbleponic system. I would prefer a hardy strain that does well in hydro and is relatively easy to grow. I have strains I have been looking at including (Green Crack) (White Widow) (Northern Lights) (Jack Herrer) (Critial Mass) (Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze) (God Bud) (Blue Moon Rock) (Super Lemon Haze) (White Rhino) (Girl Scout Cookies). I would also prefer a more indica dominate strain because of height limitations. If possible feminized seeds would be a plus+ Thanks.

Please if you have any suggestions if you can please post a link to a reliable discreet seedbank.

I am currently growing northern lights and lemon kush for the second time, both scrogged. My grow area for each plant is 2 sq ft x 48"h. Both have filled in the screen nearly entirely. Last time growing was 330g total dried so definitely not complaining. I am changing it up this time and should get more.

That is quite a impressive yield, what size light did you use?
Which strain yielded higher the Northern Lights or Lemon Kush?
Also what seed bank did you use are they reliable?

Well I grow with LEDs I use three cree cxa3070's and a 100watt red led. I would have to say the northern lights edged out the lemon kush but I enjoy the lemon kush a little more. The lemon kush is from original sensible seed company and the northern lights is from nirvana shop I have never had any problems receiving my seeds nor have I got a bad seed from either of them.

Thanks man I really appreciate your response I still would like to here other peoples opinion because I am kinda just window shopping now trying to find that perfect strain that will just blow me away. I was always taught patience is a virtue so I don't mind hearing peoples reviews on strains they have experimented with before. Also please feel free to post pictures of strains that might match the description of what I am looking for. I never stated before that one of my favorite strains to smoke is OG Kush, I really like a good kush. My problem is finding a kush strain that stays short yeilds high and still smells and taste like kush.

I heard Big Bang isn't all that great of a strain, I have no personal experience with the strain so I can't really down it but just haven't heard good things. Thank you for your response I appreciate your input.

Yield well and taste good and potent. Hmmmm. My experience is that strains on the sativa side are more vigorous and grow faster. I usually don't scrog the indicas cause they are so stout and don't usually stretch enough to fill out the light footprint relative to veg time. Yield well and potent, I have done Blue Dream, Jack Herer, Pineapple, Chocolope (not the chocolate pheno), but I don't anymore cause I'm not a fan of the flavors or anything Haze like in taste. I also need something that will put me to sleep and numb pain. With that said I try and have a day time smoke, and a night time smoke. You're just going to have to try them all.:p Since you have height restrictions, look into different light cycles and their affects on the stretch. For instance you could veg 24 hours of light an keep them compact, then 18/6 before flower, then flower 10/14 for the first couple weeks to minimize the stretch. Scrogging is great, but a flat canopy actually has less surface area than several arcs.

What about white rhino or great white shark have you any experience with them, I could keep the lights slightly higher than normal to make the indica stretch enough to fill the screen. Do you think that technique would be sufficient to make this work.

OG's typically do well in a scrog. Or many sativa dom plants. The lankier the better.
What is a good hybrid that has a high yeild but still maintains the flavor? OG isn't a very good yeilder is it

What would be a good hybrid strain that will maintain flavor and have a large yield with big fat nugs, I heard bad things about the yield on OG strains so that is why I decided not to go for that. I want this first run to go quick with a high yield so I can have bud to smoke while I grow the next round of higher quality meds.

Og's usually aren't big yielders.. But they can be, or at least more so than usual, when scrogged. A good OG scrog usually will double the yield of non scrogged og's. Hmm, the haze would be a good candidate, some gsc is lanky which would be good but they are usually low yield also. I would go with the hazes. I'd advice against scrogging a indica. Indicas grow quicker though, and if that's what your after why not do a sog with indicas since indicas flower much quicker (usually) than sativas?

I have never been a big fan of the sativas there are very few that I have truly liked, I am however a big fan of the heavy indicas or even decent hybrids.

I would go with the white widow and do a SOG instead of scrog and that should fit the bill that you're looking to achieve :) white widow is a POTENT indica, pretty quick flowering, on the shorter size (for your height limitations) and all around quality smoke.

Go with the green house seeds or dinefem - at 5$ a seed you can't go wrong. Put 8-10 plants under the 400w and let it rip. You shouldn't be disappointed. Veg until they are 12" tall and then flower

The big yielder I've been reading about lately but never smoked personally is Dr Krippling's "Incredible Bulk" - Allegedly super high yielding and very potent. You might find more info about it in a UK forum as I believe the breeder is UK based. Huuuuuge claims made by those who sell it.
