how to keep animals out

Anyone have any good suggestions on keep deer, rabbits, squirrels out of the garden? I always see these outdoor grows in northern calli and alot of them dont have fence around the garden so i was wondering how these growers are keeping these animals out. I have tried fencing to double fencing and urine and none of these have worked for me. Any suggestions?

wonder if tabasco would work or one of those sprays to deter dogs from chewing..it's bitter as hell and won't hurt plants.

Soap shavings helps to keep deer and rabbits at bay its not ahundred percent though. Be sure to use a green colored soap. Its less noticeable... Garlic oil works good too. You can also use moth balls, get a stick the same diameter of the balls, poke ahole with the stick put the ball in hole and cover it....

electric fence if close to power .i have a old mud duck that lives next door to me and the bitch feeds every feral cat in the hood ,fuckers were all up on top of my house scratching the shingles all up ,i got a air soft gun took care of all them ,spend a many night up there having some fun felt like i was back in the sand box .but out in the yard got me some vinegar and rotten eggs mixed up put in spray bottle .spray the yard once a month, they don't like that pungent smell walk on the other side of the road now , but dammit those rotten eggs sure make the damned grass grow ,gotta cut that shit ever week now .dammit

tell you something else that works with the moth balls ,go down to sams club get you a big ole bottle of black pepper and cayenne pepper ,every time they put that nose to the ground they'll get a good snort of it and it'll send there ass kicking and bucking out of there

Moth balls- but they have to be replenished after a while.

Hair clippings- many barbers/hair salons will give you bags of hair for free!

Cat shit- Cats are predators and deer/rabbits/prey animals smell that shit (pun intended) get nervous and will gtfo of there!

Fishing line-3 strands from ankle to chest high will deter deer when they run into it and is stealthy

The soap shavings work too, also fabric softener sheets. They help deter bugs too! But are also something you have to restock as it runs out of potency/smell like the mothballs.

Usually a combination of methods will provide peace of mind and cover many bases.

the farmers near me use lama's to keep the foxes away........ fight fire with fire if water doesnt work

A proper deer/rabbit fence will do the trick. If you're talking guerilla style, the deer get used to most things scent related, and some scents may actually attract critters. I used to pee in jugs and place those around (super nasty). I ended up doing the fishing line, 3 strands with bells attached in places. Also it's the young plants that are the most delicious, I have had llamas break into the garden and they sampled some buds, but definitely didn't seem to prefer it. I have also had cows that knocked plants over but didn't eat the buds. I think once they are big and your presence is established the animals shy away. Now rats and rabbits can definitely be a problem no matter the plant size/cycle.

Goats, possums and wallabies are stoners over here in New Zealand - they especially love sticky resinous buds. I use netting/wire and make a circle round my patch and tie it back to the surrounding vegetation. Keeps everything away, never dealt with deer though. I've found having multi varieties of strains in one area keeps them away although not proven but seems to be the general consensus in my experience.

When you grow in the bush bro you cant just sprinkle cinnamon and irish dish soap around and think that will do anything to deter a hungry heard of deer. Also a flimsy fence wont do shit either. You need a 5 ft fence (chicken wire) wrapped around logs(find them and saw them out there) that you have put in the ground with deep post holes. Peg the fence down with tent pegs and up with wire around the top. I dont think deer can get thru this and once animals are aware the solid fence is there they dont keep trying to get in as most are territorial and just accept it. I have had trees fall on fences that have been there for years and the animals dont try to get in. It is at the beginning you have to est that this is your patch of land now, not fuckin theirs anymore, with a solid fence.
Dogs and guns will get your patch ripped.
