WTF is happening to my plant?

Can you guys help me out here? My plant looks sad. One of them looks pretty good but the other is suffering from "rams horns or Eagles claws."

2 Lemon haze
17 days flower
Fox farm line
Ocean forest/happy frog soil
Average high 79F
Average night time low 63 F
6.3 PH watering
6.9-7.1 PH runoff

I've tried watering less often and drooped the nitrogen significantly. I just can't seem to get her to bounce back. She has been like this for a couple weeks and she only seems to get worse.

Any suggestions would be great.

She's under a 600w HPS about 18 inches away from the light.

I water about a half gallon of distilled water every 4 or 5 days. So I didn't really think over watering would be an issue. Especially since her sister gets the same treatment and is doing just fine. I'll let her completely dry out before the next water and ease down the nutes a bit more.

Currently I feed her every other water at about half strength. My new PPM meter is on its way from Amazon. I'll update when it arrives. But im sure its around 550 based on previous readings.

Just a few minutes ago I realized my dirt is very compact. Im thinking maybe she was having a hard time breathing so I broke up the soil pretty good.

RM3 - the rest of the garden is filled with some Critical Thunder Autos which are doing just fine. They are getting pulled in the next couple days.

had a plant with over packed soil, straight out of the garden, looked like that and never recovered jus finished it. i'll try and find a pick of it.

Looks like maybe too much N, humidity/ transpiration fluctuation due to heat or overwatering (maybe a combo of both).

To the above post, same thing but tight soil not draining well can lock in salts and whatnot exacerbating the problem, mix in some perlite and or give it a good flush of plain water.

I could be entirely wrong but idk thats my two cents ;-)

I actually think it might be something else. I use fox farms nute line exclusively myself, so I do have some experience there. I have use OF soil and know for a fact that it is "hot". I dont know what ratios you did for your mix, but I do know that the ph matters a lot with fox farms. Imo, your soils ph is out of tolerable levels. To be watering at 6.3 and getting run off of 6.9-7.1 told me all I really needed to know. After I read on and saw that you are still feeding her half strength, I became sure of what the problem was. Maybe the compacted-ness of the soil is messing with the ph also. So for sure new dirt next time with more perlite. But the good news is I think your lady will be fine if she just gets flushed out with a large volume of some like 5.8-6.0 ph adjusted water and no food for a lil while. Dont take what I am saying as absolute fact/law, do your own research on the nutrient availability levels of FF nutes. You will find that at 6.9-7.1 you are pretty much locking out phos. and all your lady is getting is N and K. This is just my diagnosis and I am not a doctor, but I play one on TV.

The mixture of those two soils and the addition of the nutrients overloaded the plant with nitrogen and possibly other nutrients. Try and cut out the nutrients all together for a couple weeks and use just water with a good amount of runoff. Then go back on the nutrients when you see they need it and start again slow, and keep the nitrogen away till it depletes whats in the soil. Good Luck

Looks like light intensity shock/stress . To see if this is right put it back under a small mh or cfls ,if it perks back up in a few days it was the 600w hps. Next time slowly get it used to the bigger 600w , dont just shove it under there and bobs your uncle.

I have to agree with shishkaboy, and think your PH is out of the range we are lookin for. The leaves growing like this is always indicative of a PH problem IMO. Flush em out with a low low ppm solution with 5.8 ph, and then let them sit for a few days and dry out. Then feed with your solution but at lower PH. I had a plant do this and the buds will foxtail pretty bad but still a good turnout as long as you take care of the PH. Here is a pic of the product of the one Im talkin about. Bare in mind the leaves were doing what yours did about 5 weeks before this pic. Hope this helps and good luck! Btw, your other plant has the same symptoms just not as bad.

ive had 3 plants end up just likes yours. never could find out the problem but it has never affected the outcome of my plants maybe the yield was slightly less then i expected but they came out to be great smoke. i would flush the shit out of it and hold off the nutes see if that helps at all

Hey guys. Thanks for all your help. I eased off on the watering and the nitrogen. The older leaves are still curled up but all the new growth is looking great.
Unfortunately with the low nitrogen all the bottom leaves turned yellow and died off. I'm now on a good watering schedule so hopefully everything turns out ok.
I'll let you know how they look in a few weeks.
