will calmag fix this?

Looks like a magnesium Def medium is coco coir Nutrients I've been using is cns 17 grow and silica blast I've been feeding at a little over 500 ppm not sure if im.under feeding. There are pretty green looks like the top leaves are a little faded tho. I just put into bloom so I'm looking for a solution I was thinking maybe a water with just calmag 200 ppm then running 600 ppm of grow any advice would help

Coco NEEDS cal-mag the cation exchange that goes on holds cal-mg and won't make it available to the plant ,this is a quick explanation but there are a lot of studies so look into it some even say to flush with cal-mag if any flushing is needed. I use 3-5ml per gallon every time i feed in my coco medium, 500 ppm might be a little light coco doesn't really provide nutrients so you might need to bump it up but all strains are different so do it gradually try 700ppm, if they show no signs of burnt tips move it up a notch again wouldn't recommend anything over 1100 but again every strain is different some like it higher.

Hmm. Epsom salt has mag in it. If your using tap water that has the calcium. Looks like you need bloom nutes, I'm thinking p deficiency, how's your pH? Maybe there's a lock out because it doesn't look like a typical mag Def (is that the bottom leaves?) looks like a nute lock out to me

I was rockin cns17 in coco for a couple years. Excellent stuff for a one part IMO, but like all other botanicare lines, you have to use a shit ton of it. It's the only reason i'm not using it rite now.
I'm guessing your plants are hungry for more nutes;-)
My starting water where I'm at is only .1EC so I add about 2.5-3ml/gal of calmag first, then the cns17.
By the time I got to flower using the cns17 in coco, i'm was using around 12ml/gal of grow. By the 3rd week of flower, I'm using 15ml/gal of bloom all the way up until 3 weeks out when I switch(don't have to)to Ripe. And then lower the EC a bit for the last 2 weeks.
But:

Oh, and ph to 6.0, and water with nutrients everytime until roughly 20% runoff is achieved. Easy peasy.

This thread is a little old, but sour: the new as well as some of the old growth in those pics does look a little heat stressed. Is this happening at the canopy only? What is your humidity? Try to lower to 85 F if you can, especially in flower. Silica is said to help in extreme temperatures, but it raises pH, and is technically not "organic". I would try to lower temperatures so you don't have to use it much in flower though.

I would highly recommend using cal-mag in coco even with CNS17. The bloom has some in it, but a little wouldn't hurt. Also keep your humidity in mind. If it's too low, you sometimes get lockout a little bit easier. Sometimes if the older, lower layer of leaves are green, and the top are yellowish, can be a sulfur deficiency caused from possible salt buildup. If your humidity is higher or around 50%, i would say to just add a tsp of botanicare cal-mag to your regular regime and watch a few days. If it doesn't get better, try flushing and starting out with 1/4 CNS bloom and cal mag and work your way back up. Keep in mind it usually takes a few days to see results in the leaves. Don't make any drastic changes. I'm rambling.
