Too much feed. Keep it at 5.8 right now when there this small and the PH swings aren't happening.

Tone that down to .5-.6EC at most

To much feed would burn them not make it discolor. And that small of a ph change wouldnt change anything. Its more then likely a root problem.

Still looks like burn to me.

Yellow of the veins and tips is a sign of overnuting. It doesn't always have to be dark brown brittle tips to be nute burn.

He said nothing about the roots so one should imagine they are good. The only information given was too high of a feed and wrong PH. if you want to argue that then you should educate yourself.

Just use some ph up and keep it at 5.8 until u notice ph fluctuations(once plant grows it will put more roots in water which will cause ph to shift)

If ph goes up which it should if youre running lean, which you should in DWC. Start at 5.5 and let it rise to 6.1 then drop back down. This ensures youre a not overfeeding and b you get all the nutrients

Are you using cal/mag? Ph should be 5.8 and ec should be lower. How old? That is DWC? How big of a pump are you supplementing your dissolved oxygen with? How often are you performing a rez change? I would agree with @Hps dwc, keep that rhizosphere dark, some opaque plastic wrapped around your bucket would help. Get rid of that dead leaf. Are you getting enough fresh air? I see a circulation fan. What kind of lights are you using? How far away? What is your RH?

Those are small ass plants. Dump the water you have. Start over. .3-.4 EC (from tap) will do just fine till they grow again.

Im not arguing iv been growing dwc for 5 years and if he was giving to much nutes it would be burnt Plain and simple. this is caused by something else Mostly combo of hot water and wrong ph and maybe not enogh oxygen or even light getting to roots

So you are telling me 1.2 EC isn't burning a plant that size?!?! :wall: cmon man.

I had res water temps of 80 yesterday and my plants didnt look like that at all. I've since dropped to 70... 80 wasn't my ideal temp LOL. That's a nutrient or salt issue. Light to the roots isn't horrible... I have seen (bad) fish tank grows and the light does NOT do that to the plant.

You have a lack of both Nitrogren and Magnesium. Nitrogren deficiency turn leafs yellow. If your leafs have a Magnesium deficiency they turn brown and crumble like the bottom leafs. CalMag up!

Nitro def doesnt look like that. The bottom leaves have cal/mag issues.... I bet the awkward coloring is the def of some other micro-nutrient he isnt giving them. Tap water? Ro water?
