Ok think its time to feed them. Any help? Bought maxibloom dry... thought it was part of lucas formula, but guess 7g a gal is close. Question is I didnt add amy calmag in the begining now not sure if I gonna need slica or not if I use tap water. What would u do? 50/50 cocoTek GH/ perilitte

Not quite, because they're sat on the 'lazy goat drain table' there's no space until the males show themselves and get culled.
I've put the hood back on the parabolic and raised it up a little. I'll put it back as it was once there's space.

Ok they have started to respond after the last and final pruning.
Still hoping for three ladies out of this batch. Should start 12/12 by the end of next week, depending on growth over the next 10 days or so.
The are all pruned to 8 mains.

OK, so they are found around very moist areas, and are considered possibly beneficial agriculturally by their capacity to carry spores of mycorrhizal fungi?? They look kind of like earwigs. I'll take eggs in the medium for $100, Alex, but that's a wild guess. I bet @gr865 knows EXACTLY what they are considering his past. So, are they a pest, or are they beneficial, or does it depend strictly on numbers and crop?Here's something trivial. How does one end up with springtails in Per/verm hempys ? scoped em good tonight.

TWS, I would not worry about them unless they become large numbers, which they shouldn't.
This was not a pest I was concerned with in golf, it is basically a beneficial organism and is part ot Soil Food Web as it works in unison with the microbes.
"Most springtails are harmless scavengers, feeding mainly on decaying organic matter. Some species may damage plants by chewing on the roots and leaves of seedlings. The seedlings may appear wilted and may die if damaged when young. Damage occurs as minute, rounded pits on young leaves or roots, or as irregular holes in thin leaves. Mature plants are not significantly injured. Springtails rarely cause enough damage to plants to warrant control measures.
The key to managing springtails is to reduce moisture and excess organic matter in gardens, plant pots, and around building foundations. Also screen or caulk cracks that provide entryways for springtails into homes. Pesticides should not be necessary and won’t provide long-term control by themselves."
If you are using compost tea, they likely came from eggs in the compost as they are small enough to get through the strainer if one is used.

Been 6 days since prune to 8, good growth. I have attempted my first supper cropping on one main, is out growing its opposite, so trying to let the little main catch up. Hope I am doing this right.
The canopy level is great and it looks like it may be the end of next week to go to 12/12, we will watch and see.

I am curious, do you plan to keep veg nutrients through the stretch, or are you on the side of "prepping" with a bloom mixture? I switch up the nutrient mix after the stretch is over, but have seen arguments for both sides. Since I grow different strain with each grow I have nothing "dialed" in.
I have been using Heads variation of the Lucas formula for coco, (6ml FloraMicro, 9ml FloraBloom with 3ml Cal/Mag instead of Epson and 3 to 5ml Silica).
Veg - Full rate
Week 1 thru 3 of 12/12 - Full rate - Flush
Week 4 - 4ml FM, 11ml FB plus C/M and silica - Flush
Week 5 - 2ml FM, 13ml FB plus C/M and silica - Flush
Week 6 - 0ml FM, 15ml FB plus C/M and silica - Flush
Week 7 - 15ml plus C/M and silica
Week 8 till harvest - Triple flush once with GH FloraClean, pH'ed water , then pH'ed water only.
Cut all water 4 to 5 day before chop.
This will be the first full grow doing it this way, so will report on outcome.
Last grow, one Afghan regular, turned out to be a dude and the one before. I started using Heads formule two weeks after 12/12 and used full rates till one week prior to harvest the flushed.
I agree with you that you have to have some N in the mix till just prior to harvest.
Per Mr Nice Seeds - Indoors 10 weeks of flowering will be necessary to realize the immense resin production, they say 8 to 10 weeks.
If I have the three fems I am hoping for I want to harvest one at 10 weeks, one at 11 and one at 12. This is all Trichome dependent as I want one with mostly clear trichs, one with mosly cloudy trichs and a some amber and one with cloudy and more amber so the weeks may be skewed.

. I have been running different strains most of the time as well. It makes it difficult to determine if certain plants are being picky or if there is some other variable at play when there is a deficiency. I don't know why I pictured you with a lab coat and goggles mixing up your own nutrient recipes - right next to your golf cart with the missing governor that runs at 60 MPH

I usually run the same strain in the cabinet, very rare to mix strains. But when I do, to keep the canopy even I will block up shorter plants.
No lab coat or goggles, shorts and flip flops. Well I don't know many people with a BA in my field that grow, hell I could be all wrong on this. LOL
I do like to follow recipes. Best results. I like using the Head formula but I will be going to more coco on my next grow, I should not have to water daily.
No golf cart, but a 1900 CC motor cycle.

Ok, 40 days from sprout, went to 12/12 today. I gave them a good flush two days ago and today feed them fresh full strength nutes.
Here are a few pics.
The drain lines in operation, damn they work great and have saved me loads of time and my back.
The entire herd
Fairly even canopy, one plant has two shoots that have gotten ahead of the rest, did some pinch and bend today.
The clones, the one in the back right is only three weeks old but has been under 12/12 for a week. It has rooted and seems to be taking the 12/12 like a champ. The one back left is a shorty just like it's parent. The two in the front are doing wonderful, again like there parents. One looks to be a female, going to give it a few more day before I pull it from the room and put it back under veg again.
So I am look at somewhere around the first week of April or so.

Well, they have been reduced to two, there were three males to two females. That should work well in by cabinet, give them both room to grow. Three would have worked also.
Have the two clones of these plants under the T5's and they are doing well.

almost week 7 on the garage run . all is well for the most part. stemmed off the week 5 weirdness I always get by flushing. lost one plant due to something ? just wilted over like it was over watered or something. Roots didn't look bad ? Love the Hempys.
