Buds for Less - CFL BOOK

I tried cfls...and I must say, for me the hps just wiped them out. No offense or anything.But maybe I'm just not that good of a gardener.My first grow, which I just completed has been slightly disappointing to me.The high doesnt last long, and the buds were very light and airy.I Think I only had the hps for the last 3 weeks of flower.And I managed to burn one of the girls with a cfl earlier on. It fell.But I will use cfls for veg, they seem to be more than adequate for that.

That was the same seed that grew the mega plant in the book.... The blue dot clones.... as I recall were a gift from a friend..

I really did nothing other than what is stated in the book. Really... nothing tricky...

YES.. i did spend 1-3 hours EVERY single day chilling with the plants.. staring at them.. KEEPING the lights as CLOSE as possible.. just be memorized by the PLANT... Plants have that affect on me :) NOT just ganja plants but pretty much all plants....

And I actually had ZERO intention of PUBLISHING a book.. I put the book together for fun using PHOTOSHOP... and ONLY after I showed Ed on a whim did it get published...


I am not sure what kind of disclaimer you are thinking of? Maybe the word disclaimer is a bit strong...

I do think that even if somebody got 3 ounces from a single CFL grow, that would be fantastic...

I also suspect that I could have even had a larger harvest if I would have had 3 or 4 mango plants... lol

I have seen very nice grows with 1000 watt HIDs... with shitty strains that produce 8 ounces or less per harvest....

I will continue to process your comments.. and I do appreciate your tact.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your response. I agree disclaimer is far too strong a word, I understand that you weren't attempting to mislead people, as I am sure that you were once familiar with the high hopes that come along with being a first time grower.

I just feel bad for my friend, and hope most who read your book will be humble enough to understand that Rome wasn't built in a day.

The funny thing is the guy that gave my friend the book has supposedly worked with Ed, and he told my friend that he knows a guy with a strain that he sells clones of for $10,000! Lol, so maybe it was that guy who filled my friends head with such high expectations.

Hmmm...I just got the book, and got very inspired by it. Complete newbie, but yeah, I'm going to follow the book, and see what happens. My goal isn't some amazing yield, but just something that I'll be able to smoke and say I grew it.

There is a GOOD chance that you will have a GREAT yield, with big dense buds!

buds for less, AWsome book I have have limited education and have bought a few books in the last year or so and this is the one I chose to use very easy to understand I love it I am 20 days in to my first attempt looks good due to lack of space I can only do one at a time hope it is a female.anyways I hope this is posted in the right spot I just had to say thank you for such a good product.:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
 
YOUR BOOK ROCKS!!!! I use the pictures every day to see how I'm doing. :) EXCELLENT! Especially for the small space I have; I grew in the past with the big daddy lights, but I had a more pro setup and a dedicated room... CFL's are doing swell for me now!

What up GK?

I would like to show you my new box, using 4 ft. Flouros. What do you think 2x4x4 with a 6in duct fan for ex. 3 1 1/2 in holes for passive intake.

How was the vacation?

Hmm censorship is not appreciated and knowledge is in fact free. Search torrents for this book and his movies. ;) FYI I didn't post em on torrents nor did i direct link here in the forums, i merely made a suggestion to point ppl of lesser incomes in the right direction, PM me if you don't like it don't just delete the post and move on

The first pic is the whole grow. Currently those soil pots are gone. Bubblers and Hempys Only. The Two on the bottom left of the tank and the cup to the right is my mystery strain. Look like anything familiar to you? I just started a thread to try to figure it out. No luck so far. It is anything from NL to NLxHaze. The last pic i focused on my Ice clone. The two on the right are SourD seedlings. That upper left corner is another mystery strain, came from a bag of good shit. The plant it self doesn't look that great though. So GK, and anyone interested let me know what you think.
 
i finally have my first female plant. I'm using the book as my guide, and i just started a thread about it. It's 22 days into flowering now. The link is in my signature.

GK, and everybody else, please take a look.... comments and suggestions are highly needed!!!
