That's a tough one really. I'm against drug testing in general, what people do on their off time should be nobody's business. So in principle I'm against it.

Here's where we get in trouble though. Drug testing is a reality, you can't get a job in the government without one, so a check should follow those same guidelines. If you are receiving welfare, and you are able bodies, you need to be available to work. Failing a drug test means you are not employable. I wish it weren't that way, but that's the reality we live in.

Test for pot No. Crank, and crack and heroin wouldn't bother me. If those people want assistance throw in some rehab with the assistance and do them a favor. Or at least try to.

The people that work for me have to get tested if they get injured, and its not me that tests them except an alcohol test I have to do that one, but the feds do the testing on my employees when injured on the job and the insurance company. Its just a reality for a lot of people already.

I lose my insurance if I get popped on a drug test, so do government employees if they lose their job.

I'd rather none of us had to worry about it, but that's not the reality we live in.

I'm against testing for weed for anything. If I smoked out 2 weeks ago, it shouldn't affect my employment today, but it does. Let's work on that instead of just for the welfare people. Either it's dumb for all of us or none of us.

GW 1950's are calling..you CANNOT receive WELFARE without this criteria: 1) minor child in residence, 2) YOU HAVE A JOB!

Sorry sky, but come on girl. The 50's had nothing like the welfare we have now so your put down attempt makes you look silly.

Welfare comes in many shapes and sizes and your criteria is meaningless for many of em. You CAN receive welfare without a child or job, some you CAN'T, but some.

I knew a person who had to get medicaid and food stamps whilst doing chemo. The only way he could get an appetite was to smoke weed. He also said it help with the pain. What advice would you have had for him ?
