It's been a long time since I've grown. Using 400watt MH for 8 plants in my tent. Temp stays between 66 and 76. Humidity 50%-30%. Using Roots Organic premixed soil. One of the plants looks a little burnt, maybe the soil is a little bit hot, so I won't be using any ferts for a week or two. And one at the top has really curly leaves, doesn't look too good, but I'm sure she'll survive.

Look ok? Any suggestions? Thanks everybody.

It almost looks like you could be having a deficiency of something but I'm not 100% sure hopefully someone else will chime see what there thoughts are on what it is. But it would be best to just use pH'ed water and if it gets worse than your lacking something. Are going to have more light once you flip to 12/12?

400 mh won't be enough for that many plants unless you keep them real small a good rule of thumb is 6, 4 to 6 feet tall plants to a 1000w lamp. you will do better with more light but you can still grow that many with a 400 but your final weight will be less. organics indoor is hard to do right i suggest a soiless mix next time! lower your lights and pack more soil around the base of your plants so they will stop leaning over

I am going to switch to a 1000watt hps light when i decide to switch to flower. I guess I'm just going to keep making sure that the runoff ph is 6.5 and I won't add any nutes unless it looks like they need some. Thanks guys!

I think you're just fine on the LST I like to start them young.

Are you going to top them?
More tops to tie down.

And as far as the tips, they do look like a burn to me just give them water and keep and eye on your new growth.

You're doing a great job!

I'm using tap water in a tote, with a bubbler. I make sure I ph my water at 7.0 when watering, and my runoff ph on all of my plants is 6.5.

I don't plan on topping, just going to keep tying down the top and run it in a circle around the pot, is that a good idea or not?

Thanks for the support it means a lot guys!

I tried the same thing and the only issue I ran into was crowding when it came to your tops I would top everything and let them grow out for a week or two then tie those down try and keep them spaced out that way they get even light when you flower them out.

I would top, then lst the tops. Topping a plant sends energy to under shoots so it will get the plant to bush out better. This will help for a more uniformed canopy. I see one retard plant so I think ppm might be high. Do you know the ppm run off?

How many nodes high should I top?

I know the ph runoff is 6.5, but i don't know how to test the ppm. Still new at this stuff. Off topic, I got a new puppy yesterday! Had to drive aaaalll the way to Chicago to get him! I named him Prince Zuko!

Cute dog they're always cute as puppies but I've never had a ppm meter just pay attention to your plants I usually wait till the 3rd node to top and usually like to monster crop anything below where I topped look at my GSC I mainlined

Prince Zuko, named after the badass from avatar? Ppm is very important. Helps you catch issues quickly and let's you know when your plants need nutrients. So your growing and not guessing. You can get a cheap meter for around 25-50 bucks. Doesn't matter how many nodes you top down.. I let my plants get about 10-12 inches and then I find where shoots are coming out, and then top right above those shoots. Normally 1-3 nodes from top This allows the bottom shit to come up and the plant will bush. It is difficult to explain, I would watch a few YouTube videos.
Urban grower , Jorge Cervantes, and then try a couple different ways.. Take note of it and see which way you like best

I watched a video on ppm, say i purchase a digital meter... what should my ppm be when I check before I water, and should it be different afterword?

Without nutrients water should be under 150ppm..when you add nutrients, add what you think is appropriate amount, then check ppm again. It's not as important to check then as it is to check run off. It usually will run off higher than it goes in, this is because salts build up. I would check your run off every water. Keep your ppm low. Don't give nutrients unless in veg your run off ppm is under 500 ish. When they get big you can go a little more, but less is more. In flower you can go up to 1000.

The new one with Kitara isn't very good, it's ok, the first season with the air bending competition was really neat.

Here is my progress so far, took these a few minutes ago. The one with the curling leaves is looking better with the new growth, and it seems as if the burning has halted on the girl on the very bottom right and the new growth looks really good. I might top, I might not, not sure yet... I'm going to let them grow and see what happens as I start to tie down the other nodes and trim off the skimpy looking ones. I think they are looking pretty good so far though. Tricks you are so freaking awesome! Thank you for all of the advice and support!:P I Also put in a picture of my other puppy, her name is Appa! She is about 6 months old now.
