Landrace or oldschool strains?

Id like to grow some of the first strong strains to be discovered.. Ive seen some landraces get just as fat and stinky as commercial brand stuff.. and im talking when I was way out in the middle of nowhere napal.. and the kush mountains..doing things i can not speak of... I would like to get my hands on what they called Namaste in Napal.. the natives told me it was the best stuff they had from mixes of landraces found around that area..

if anyony know where I could get my hands on that or if there is a breeder on here who has heard something. let me know.. that goes for any land race strains that seem interesting

I'd recommend you check out Ace and Cannabiogen. They have some really interesting landrace, worked strains. They tend to make sure the strains are suitable for growing indoors/out and are stable. Some lines they've taken down to F4 or more.

I've grown their Malawi which was beautiful but sadly not suitable for my tent. I've also grown Bangi Haze which was a very interesting plant. She grew very much like an indica yet maintained a good sativa high. Apparently they have done some more work with that strain to make it more sativa according to someone else on here. In fact check out the Ace thread here.

I would say with some of these land race strains, expect some slowness as hybrid vigor is nonexistant. I had PCK going and was liking what I saw until my cat decided to remove a good portion of the leaves. It had taken about 6 weeks to get to 3 nodes, and neither plant ever recovered. If it was recovering, it was so slow it appeared to be doing nothing.

Seedsman sells landraces too.

I question their legitimacy of claims. Not that I had bad plants, but seedsman seems more of a breeder for hire for other breeders. Ace and Cannabiogen specialize in landraces.
Toss World of Seeds in the mix as well. I do believe they work closely with Ace and Cannabiogen.

I really liked my Afghan Kush special from them. Had a handful of some of their land races early into growing but they didn't germinate. Was odd. Can't out rule error on my part but other beans at the time were successful

Not sure if this will help in anyway, but I have had much, much better luck germinating landrace type seeds in high heat.
I will close them up in a room with a heater and the room will be 85+ degrees, and I get a lot more to pop that way.

The reason why I'd like the napal based landrace breeds is because they suit some of the climates I grow in.. And I'd like to do a guerilla grow this year

I had a whole pack of Columbia Gold I germed earlier this year and not one popped. I had other strains that all popped. I still have a pack of the afghan kush and the Wild Thailand to pop. Hope those go better.

Ahhhh, good old Columbian Gold. We used to smoke that stuff all the time back in the late 70's...:) I would like to find me some of them seeds and give it a try.
