Nice, what strain/breeder on the nine ounce auto? You should match your pot size to your light source and also consider the genetics. I wouldnt grow an auto in anything less than a 3 gallon pot. I prefer 7 or 10gallon fabric pots. I use 400w or more of hid. Also you should use 18/6 or 20/4 lighting for best yield and potency for the entire grow. My best so far has been 9oz(weighed a month after chop date) on a single plant in a 15g pot sharing 1000w of hid with 3 other nice yielding autos.
is your cream caramel regular ?Quick question,
Will a 5 litre pot be ok for an autoflower , keep in mind i will be switching 12/12 once i find my cream caramel is ready for it.
Thanks in advance!!
good advice. I prepare my smart pot with FFOF, FFHF, perlite, & assorted nutes in advance and then dig out a small hole about the diameter of a soup can, maybe 1.5 inches deep (45mm). I replace the potting soil I've removed with a mix of potting soil & flood plain topsoil from the local river, and plant the seed in that. Dilutes my "soil" to something that won't burn a seed. The first week I water with a syringe. Seems to work. And never transplant an auto, always start in the final pot. This can be tricky when it come to watering, you will find there is a bit of a learning curve.
Thanks man , i also had another idea to just drill a buncs of holes in the pot that its in and place it into a bigger pot with the existing pot Sort of a potceptionis your cream caramel regular ?
5 Liter pot will do it .. 10 liter or 15 would be better but anyway , dont go ahead and transplant it , you will lose more than you gain. you should not transplant Autos.
IM going to flip anyways bro i dont care for the auto as much as the cream caramel..5 litre sounds a little small, as other have said, don't use anything smaller than 3 gallons. I've used 3 gallon, 5 gallon, & 7 gallon smart pots, all for autos, and regularly get 2-4 oz. yield per plant, and that's from an old school 400w Tech lite. (2 oz. AKR, 4 oz. Northern Lights) It's not 2010 anymore, auto's are pretty good today.
Again, as others have said, plant your seed in the pot you will finish in. (don't transplant).
It's an AUTO, keep it at 18/6 or 20/4, the ENTIRE life cycle. Don't flip to 12/12.
DO NOT TOP the plant, LST is OK.
thats actually not a bad idea , what you will try with the pot , never tried but ... anyway if you will have it o 12/12 i dont think your auto will need a bigger pot , just feed them properly , but dont overdue it , tipically autos are not heavy feeders .By the way I love how people share information that is not really rellevant to the question i asked , Im Definatelly going to switch 12/12 because i have a feminized regular cream caramell , the auto is just a try to see what it does, will the 5 litre be enough this way ?
So i did the potception.. well see if it works im sure it will, and yeah im gonna start the other 2 autos aswell and throw them out soon cause its gettin nice and warm here i dont think theres going to be more frost, i just have to check when the ruderalis that grows here starts pollinating cause it would be pretty sad if they ruin my flowers..thats actually not a bad idea , what you will try with the pot , never tried but ... anyway if you will have it o 12/12 i dont think your auto will need a bigger pot , just feed them properly , but dont overdue it , tipically autos are not heavy feeders .
