Very fucking nice bro, can you link me those kahunas please? and if you have a link on a cheap portable ac, if i cant get an ac, im gonna have to bring somewhat warm air from outside or grab air from another room

I bought my hoods from HTG, iirc were about 160.00 each. they spread the light awesome for my room. I also use one in my veg tent, that's how much I like them. they are HEAVEY about 54lbs or 45lbs, I forgot. so ratchet straps, yoyos are not gonna cut it. i use chain and carabeeners plus 150# hooks in my ceiling joists to mount them. my portable ac is an LG 8000btu unit from Homedepot, plus I bought the 5yr warranty (don't fall for their warranty policy BS). if you happen to have a kmart closing down near you, (5 closed down in a 25mile radius of me), I buy ALL of them on closeout when they go down to 150.00 instead of 300.00, then flip them to growers for a nice profit. just a heads up, as it will be cheaper. but NO returns or refunds unless broken upon purchacing. no normal person buys an ac during winter. lol

4x1000watt would fit nicely in 10x10 but you also need to be able to reach the plants. 4x600 would do for 8x8.

reflectors are reflectors whether its made of german aluminum or japanese aluminum
No. The difference between a cheap crappy reflector hood and a professional high quality hood is huge and after bulb and exhaust the most important item in a grow setup. It's not just the material that differs (and remains more effective longer) but also the shape and the resulting spread, penetration and uniformity.

I will definitly have to go check an ac unit out, what specs am i looking for and where do you get your co2 enrichment from

Yea buddy i totally i agree now, footprint is all. I am going to go with 2 600 watts for now end game 4 but im still looking at 400 watt ballasts and hoods aswell. 1000 might be overkill for me i feel like it is almost unnecasary. The goal is to create product that everyone loves but i really dont believe i need 1000 watts to do so, in fact im seeing ok yields from 250 watts

co2 comes from my intake fan, nothing else. I yield some super awesome crops, +1g/w.
And you intake fan draws air from outside? or another room, this is where i'm a little stuck. i'm in no rush as i have no plants that are needing to go into flower. at the moment the only co2 i get is from the ac exhaust into the room which is on 45 precent of the day

DO NOT exhaust your ac back into your room. always exhaust outside. all my air gets recirculated in my grow room(s), 1 5x10x7 veg room and 1 8x12x7 flower room in a 1000+sq' basement (intake air and exhaust fan air). my ac exhaust is the only air that gets exhausted outside.

You helped me greatly, im either going with 600 or 400 2 for the beginning and then 4 in end. Now about digital ballasts, theres very cheap ballasts under a company called ultra grow, does anyone reccomend this company? they have some of he cheapest ballasts on the market which leads me to believe that there probably loud ass hunks of garbage. The Digital Ballast im most likely getting is the select a watt 400 and 600 by galaxy it comes with a 5 year warrenty which im very excited about.

Galaxy is an excellent ballast, however, my choice would be to go with the new "Nanolux" Digital Ballast. Google it for more info. It's the best ballast on the market today in my opinion.

Ignore that post from me i re read that like 10 times i must of been stones, and right now i only have 3 young seedlings sprouted as of 4 or 5 days ago. I really need to buy seeds and i have the money to do so, i just dont know a legit sight that will take my mastercard and will ship to the east cost. The genectics on these 3 girls are pretty but poor
Herbiesheadshop.com is the best in my opinion.

I agree with you completely!! Horizontal reflectors distribute the most light. I like Hydrofarm horizontal reflectors personally.

ive been running Apollo ballasts from amazon (lowballer is the seller). been running Apollo ballasts (x4) for about 4 years and never had any issues. I don't give 2 shits what anyone has to say about them. they work GREAT and emit no RF issues. at least at my grow area.

Don't expect quality bud with less then 20 watts per sq ft.......fluffy bullshit that is great for the wax pile is what you'll get.

To each his own I guess.I'm running 68 watts per sq ft of bare Hortilux and Gavita double ended bulbs 16" off the girls

This has been my recipe for success, for quite some time:
60w's per sqft is ideal. 40w's per sqft is the minimum I would ever do, which I have not done in a long time.
1000w = 4'X4'
600w = 3'X3'

These new double ended light setups are A different story though. Definately changing things up.
