My main question is
Screen of Green Vs ScrOG?

I have herd that SoG is the way to go in terms of veilds if you have enough plants?

Any truth behind this?

Would appriciate someone who has done both

most people do scrog
then most people do vert
then most people do sog
and most people do hydro
and most people do soil

you'll get different opinions on this topic ........ Its down to your skills how much yeild you get from any of the above methods :)

do you know exactly how to scrog? And what level of skill you need to do this ?

I am well aware of how to SCROG and SOG.

for reference I will be running a DWC hydro as well as a soil grow.

I am unsure of which to choose as of now. Prepetuial SoG seems like a good way to go.

My main question is.
yield of ScrOG vs SoG?

I think it depends on what you want to do. You could probably get similar yields with less plants in a scrog, but you'd have to veg for a lot longer. Your turnaround time with sog would be faster as you wouldn't need to veg for long, but you'll need more plants. I think it comes down to personal preference. Do you want to do lots of plants with short veg or a few plants with longer veg?

Seems like SoG is for me. This was my general answer :) Thanks. Id much prefer a pretrial grow of little veg and big colas rather than ScrOG with longer Veg. You seen any good guides on SoG been a bit difficult to find any well written ones.

I haven't seen any, but I haven't really looked to be honest. I'm sure someone else around here might be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck!

My $.02 is that it mostly depends on your grow space and the strain your growing. What Capt. Trips said is also right on.

So you have one sativa and one hybrid. I can only guess as to your missing dimension hat you have an 8ft ceiling. I started messing with sativa's in a scrog last year and it fills up fast so vegging doesn't take as long. But they stretch a lot unless your used to training a sativa. I personally haven't encountered to many people using SOG with Sativa's , a SOG is typically used with shorter easier to manage plants like Indicas and Auto's. In a 4x6 I would scrog 6 plants, that is just what I would do. Under those circumstances it would be vary manageable. Your lighting in my opinion is a little underpowered, you will however be able to grow marijauana.

Thanks mate for the tips. From what I have read the LED power is quite good. I have another 250watt LED to add if needed?

From what ive herd it out preforms a 1000watt.

yeah ive herd that about Sativas. I may just go with 6 in the DWC as it only holds 8.

Will look more into it.

its a 900 led but 450 actuial watts

I have heard black dog are just rebranded marshydro, but they actually recommend (BD), something like 40-60 watts per sqft, which is similar to hps, so you could potentially get good yield/space if you follow the recommendation. Most LED growers I've seen top out at 35watts per sqft. I don't think that's enough light

450 watts is quite a good amount but ill grab a 750 watt LED.
From what I can tell by the studdies LED is much better than HPS.
Also blackdog isnt rebranded mars. Blackdog has diff spectrums.
I know there are HPS and LED fans. Im not either just prefer LED as heat and obviously studdies and the comparisons.

By better I mean by heat, spectrum as well as Hydro overall and Gram Per watt.
Im not a fanboy or anything just wont be using a HPS or MH or HID

In my current setup I'm running 80 watts (actual) of LED per square foot.
