Post your experiences here.

So far I'm not really that impressed with Holy Princess. It's not bad but the C99 from female seeds is noticeably better - at least of the phenos I have tried. The HP pheno that looked most promising I haven't sampled yet so the jury is still out. I will be running the potential keeper and probably one other pheno again.

Pluses:

Smell, unique and fairly consistent. It's very pleasant.
Buzz is nice, but the potency is not there for me.
Easy to trim and work with. Forgiving plant to grow.

Minuses

Pest resistance. Namely PM. They got it when nothing else was having issues. Fought with it a good % of the grow. Didn't get out of control as I'm pretty diligent and the plants could have been healthier. But so could all the plants in my garden this past run which was not bad but not great.
Yield on most of the plants isn't ever going to be very good. Just the nature of the structure, pretty spaced out internodes. It could be OK though with a bit of work. I just don't want to bother really. The potential keeper could be a pretty good yielder with less work and I'm going to see how it goes next run. Yet to try, but it was also the frostiest girl of them all. Most of them weren't overly frosty really. The C99 from FMS was again better in that respect.

Really I have little reason to keep this in my garden at this point, I am not giving up on it because the buzz itself is pretty nice but it takes a while to get there for me.

TL: DR

Jury still out.

It's not bad by any stretch. I just have better so far. I am going to run two of them again, one to just do a better job make sure its better dialed and the other for the same reason. Two most interesting phenos of the bunch. The most interesting phenotype I still haven't sampled yet I just cut it down a few days ago. The top cola weighed almost 100g wet when chopped. Some yield potential on this particular plant and it smells similar and is a bit more frosty. Took about a week longer to finish.

If you're big into unique flavors that are very appealing this one would be very interesting for you.

They were mostly done in 8.5-9week window and the last plant was done in a little over 10.

Would love to see some pics bro! Also keep in mind the PM could've affected overall quality.... I battle PM last year... I'm sorry to say even now that I stopped growing for six weeks and got new tent and genetics going I still fear she may rear her ugly head again, as once the spores are there depending your grow environment they can be lurking anywhere.... My main culprit I believe was poor air circulation as it was a new tent I went from a 4x4 to a 5x5 and wasn't getting the negative pressure and good passive air intake due to that... And Cindy is a known PM magnet.... As like you my female seeds c99 was the first and the worse of the lot to get it..... Thankfully I had grown her out a couple runs in a row so though it sucked I did get to have some of that Cindy goodness! Really loved the energizing social affects it gave me.... C99 I would say would be one of my all time favorite strains... My recent tastings of Ghost Train Haze would be tie I guess between her and the c99 :). Really sorry about the PM brother, I can't remember if it was Eagle 20 or Forbid (I had both as was battling mites as well) but I believe it was the eagle 20 kept the pm at bay (do not use during flowrting but up until is fine, a systemic approach that last aprox 3 weeks) I also used green cure, h202 etc
Good luck bro and if you were battling the Pm you are aware of using a h202 bath to kills the pm off the buds? If not I can throw up a YouTube link from Jorge Cervantes....
Just got some e$ko gear, the Candy Kush... Will pop them soon...
Thanks for the HP "smoke report"

My female seeds didn't get affected by PM. Really none of my other plants did except a bit on the Romulans which are also bug magnets (they brought mites with them which are now dead).

Or at least they haven't been so effected that it's started to flower. A lot of folks have PM and don't know it actually, but that's another story.

My experience with PM tells me it has marginal effect on end quality if dealt with. Doesn't necessarily have to go either way either. Grape farmers often starve their crops for example (and suffer with PM all the time although they tend to sulfur hard) to get better sugar production. Anyway I can do it better, but I could have done all the plants in my garden better. Still, the other plants in my garden were generally superior, at least the ones I've harvested.

There are pics on my imgshack account linked around here I'll link some here in a bit.

After growing in multiple different environments and sizes I find that it is harder to notice pm when you have a packed room but I find it fairly easy to spot PM. I went from living where it was 50% humidity to where it is dry like a desert and since then I have 0 problems with this. Good air flow actually makes the humidity drop to under 10% and that is kinda disturbing for me cuz I don't want my ladies to get sucked dry by the air. Temps are all in tune though so who knows. Just enjoying the ride.

I really liked your review on the Holy Princess and good bad or indifferent your experiences impact my decisions too. I respect you OG.

Thanks for the kind words. Allow me to again clarify that this plant is not a bad one. Not at all. And probably some people would love it - especially the flavor hounds. But I simply have better. Perhaps this last phenotype will be the one. I'll know more pretty soon. I have a very good eye for PM on living plants and also chopped finished product. 10% RH? Good luck drying in that environment bro. Damn. Shit is brittle in about a day I bet.

I'm a big fan of Chucky's Bride. Pics here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/new-harvest-pics-miscellaneous-breeders.851217/#post-11063727

I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall E$ko;s description of Holy Princess mentioned that it was one of his less potent.
I didn't see much regarding potency I can recall. He did describe the buzz as God like. I think that's a bit of a stretch but it is a real nice buzz. It isn't a bad plant. I ain't hating. And it's only one pack too. In my experience you need to run more to get a better rep of the line.

Uniformity? Pretty stable on the smells and effects, variance on other aspects (but really pretty slight, probably this is well above average in terms of uniformity). Still not really a final report.

Santa Maria planck cut vs cinderella 99 pineapple malemelted down into something likeChewing gum dropped in some red berry liqour flavour tasting plant.
Easy to grow, double stretch. 25% indica/75% sativa type. The old Santa Maria clone, or planck cut, was pollinated with my c99 pineapple male.Cinderella is a perfekt partner for Santa Maria.Holy Princess gives a strong celebral high, almost godlike.
That's from his site. There's definite berry under and overtones in the flavor. I don't know how to describe the other part of the nose other than it's very pleasant and distinct. I'm not sure liquor is really accurate either but it's probably closer than anything I can come up with.

He did a trilogy w/ c-99 - I'm confusing Holy Princess w/ Boudica I think.

All the stuff they sell up here is dry as fuck lolol... I am working my own system of wet trimming and drying on these racks that have little holes in them for 3 days and then I either put them in a paper bag or jar them up and burp em every day. Pain in the ass but I have tried a few other ways and it comes out like super dry.

Probably just need to build a proper drying room with some kind of humidifier.

It's verrry easy to dry out weed properly on Vancouver Island. It's also pretty easy to maintain a good indoor growing environment even without a sealed room. A nice luxury. Actually though lately it's been rainy and humid - it's taken weeks for my stuff to dry out. It's still not completely dry and I first started cutting on the 31st.

Smells great though. Sometimes I do a dry trim, but that's really rare. Generally I trim wet, let em hang for a day or two and then cut them all off and put em into paper bags. From there it takes a while for them to dry (weeks in this case, oh I also put them in my basement which is quite chilly and also slows down the process). Then they go into bags or jars depending on the situation.

I am looking into a drying tent that I will be getting eventually. The tent is breathable but will hold in most of the humidity making it seem perfect for my circumstances.

I am not turned away by the princess being a decent plant but I already have the female seeds c99 about to flower so I am happy that I picked up that version instead. I need potency as I have been smoking way too long.

The female seeds has nice potency. Not overwhelming potency. I like it though. Easy plant to grow. Easy to clone. Branches a lot. Only downside really is the stems are floppy.

The Chucky's Bride Amos posted looks quite a bit more frosty than any of the girls I got from this pack of Holy Princess. Maybe it's the superior of the two crosses. Especially if it yields like Amos thinks it can.

Does the c99 like to be topped by any chance? I have kept her growing vertical because I know some strains don't like when you chop their top.

My pheno doesn't need any it seems to do it itself almost the way it grows. I didn't top it the first time I ran it and got a very large bush with quite a few tops. However I had to stick it in my vert setup because it got too tall for my gavitas.

This second go I didn't top but I did do some LST. Very LST. I am going to be installing a screen to bend the plants through so I can keep it under the gavita. I think it's going to work out nicely. There's a lot of larf on the bottoms to clean up. The branching is truly kind of insane on this plant. Under the T5's the nodes grew like a millimeter apart. So far it's forming a decent canopy that I think will be easy to manage.
