i ran chocolate rain, good yielder of some lovely, stunky buds.. no chocolate smells or taste in the ones i ran, more skunky / hashy imo..
I have grown out about 10 so far and seeded one up really well so I have hundreds of seeds to go through, but out of those 10 or so, I havent gotten any I would call "chocolate" either. But I do like the buzz. While not the most potent of strains, it is certainly the right buzz type for many activities.

I gotta say this Holy Princess is excellent for anxiety. My dog is quite old, is a tripod and went through osteogenic sarcoma already. And it appears she has a stomach tumor or some kind of digestive tract tumor now... she's 10 and a Bernese Mountain Dog. So she's already past her expiration date as far as the breed is concerned. Anyway she's lost about 15lbs over the past couple months and her appetite is dwindling. I am very stressed out about it and this holy princess is really calming my stomach. So thank god for it.

I'm a dog lover - completely over the top. I feel you, big time.

Having been through it a couple times, I'd like to suggest this to you, my friend: our pets depend on us for their well being, in good times, and especially in bad. It's so easy to want to hang on to a friend we've loved for so long, but sometimes letting go is the greatest act of love we can do for them.

My heart goes out to you and your friend.

Ahh that sucks, sorry to hear this OG. They really do become like family over the years. Just had to put one of our dogs down last November.

A good friend of mine dealt with this recently too. The vet he goes to let him say his goodbyes, then came in to the room with a Reese's Peanut Butter cup and set it on the table. The vet went on to say that he makes this offer for every person that comes in with their dog. He explained that chocolate is the forbidden fruit for dogs their entire life, and what better way to go out than to enjoy the very thing they haven't been allowed to have.

I'm making a point to do that for every dog that I have to put down now.

I took her to the vet today. She still seems to want to keep going, she's not off hiding in corners. Granted she couldn't do that easily anyway. But she managed to get up the stairs today and eat a lot after getting a shot of steroids. I'd like to start her on my CBD nordle cookies but she doesn't like them.

The vet figured she had a couple weeks left of decent quality life. She still is happy to see me etc. It's a really tough call though.

At one point last night I thought I should just do it for her own good, but the vet was pretty reassuring. She is in the pallative care stage. It's really sad man. I am very deeply connected to this particular dog. I've had dogs die before, but this one just seems to hurt a little bit more.

She's a wonderful dog and we've gotten through a lot together. She was supposed to die almost 8 years ago.

That's a good idea, although a little sad to think about.

Never easy losing a family member, a dog is more than just a pet. Best wishes for you in your time of pain. I wish they would live as long as us so we didn't have to go through so many it takes a piece of your heart each time.

On a side note, the Holy Princess really does make it a little easier. Anxiety destroys my stomach. I actually was puffing on some Black Widow last night and it was bad. Sativa pheno which I know spins the shit out of some people (it's not exactly loved by all, but those who love it really love it) and I had almost a full blown anxiety attack. That rarely happens for me. Wasn't pleasant. On a side note, it's the closest smelling strain to RKS I've ever had... and I remember RKS could do this to people as well.

Suffice to say I'm thinkin about breeding with this girl... maybe tone down the intensity of the high.

This plant definitely smells quite skunky. It's not pure though. I'm thinking about hybridizing it with some Sweet Skunk which is a somewhat low odor skunk line from Peakseeds. Could be interesting. I'll be making the cross for sure at some point in the near future.

It is all about not letting the daddy pollinate the money makers.... I don't wanna let some wild pollen ruin my smoke crop.

Upon further reflection I actually think I had a mild psychotic break from that black widow.
I like weed.....but sometimes, depending on the situation, it's not the right 'script.

Tell your Dr what's going on w/ your dog, and how upset you feel. Many will help you out - they've went through it themselves. I'm fortunate to have a trusted doc that trusts me. I rarely use them, but it's very good to have some valium / lorazapam - anxiety meds - on hand in times of extreme stress.

Take heart in knowing you gave her a wonderful life most dogs never have...and that she'll want you to give the same to another deserving relative. There are not enough good people - like you, OG - for all the wonderful dogs that need us.

Sorry to hear about your dog OG. It's one of the hardest things to deal with but the enjoyment of their life is worth the pain in seeing them go. Remember the good times bud.

Bringing tears to my eyes :(

beautiful garden. I got some Skunk X OG's I'm going to pop soon, supposed to be some stinky old school BC Silver skunk I think.

me too...
Nothing can make me cry except sick/old animals, old people and my girlfriend.
Dogs are like falling in love, each and every time it's the greatest thing, but almost always eventually leads to extreme heartache.
But it's SO worth it, in both regards.
My sympathies for you and your family.

I guess the next chocolate rain to be released is going to be feminized. He said he is using his rasberry chocolate pheno to make the fems.
You know, i'm a fan of sannie/e$kobar, but I wish thye'd not do that.
The same problems with the sugarpunch, the second run wasn't the same because, it wasn't the same.
Keep the genetics the same, or it's simply not the same plant.

What do you mean the second run of SP wasn't the same? Did he use different plants? I think it's a pretty unstable strain looking at grow reports. Jetdro who was posting on here about seeds not germinating was super impressed with the results he got. I've seen a few others. Then I see some folks get some less impressive phenotypes. I definitely had a couple who did not shine near as much as the winners did.

just gonna quote his most recent post about it... this was the guy complaining about the seed color and how none were gonna pop (they all did):

Update::
I shall redeem myself in just a few
Short weeks.

Sugar Punch Pheno 4 is 5 weeks into flower
In MY HYDRO SETUP...

Wholly mother of God the thing is a MONSTER
Looked in on her this am....7.5 feet tall
Buds as long as my arm....STICKY SO BAD IM on my way to hydro store for another carbon
Filter .

She is absolutely IMPRESSIVE...And then some!!!

I'll get pics in, a day or two
After I get some netting up around her...
She is gonna yield HUGE!!!!! HER buds are already heavy.....and she WILL need help to keep from breaking stems.....

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE A FULL CAB OF THESE...
WAIT....I need not imagine....The cab next to her IS FULL OF THE PUNCH...just flipped them last Friday......so I expect a freaking JUNGLE IN 5 WEEKS.....LOL...

Peps....let me tell you.........WHEN you can score Sugar Punch seedz......GET THEM!!! Sell your 1st born.....trade in an old car....borrow, some money....just GET THESE SEEDS.......

Amazing things CAN COME IN SMALL PACKAGES!!!
That was from the most recent run. I think it's just a stability issue.
