What is the Proper Temperature Range for Germination

Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to germinate 3 seeds I have (Cherry Kush, OGiesel, Girl Scout Cookies) and I was wondering what the proper temperature range is for the most success. I have my temperature gauge in my spot now and its reading 90 degrees with 21% humidity. I've read 90 degrees is a little hot and may upset the germination process. Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated.

I drop mine in dirt and adjust my light down til I hit about 75 degrees. Some where between 75-80 is where I have the best luck.

And if the top of the soil drys to fast I lay something on the cup or pot until sprouted.

Yeah that's too hot (and too dry too for the plants). For germination itself that isn't necessarily a problem though, the actually wet medium is usually a bit colder than the reading. 80f would be better. I try to keep it between 76 and 82.

That's the temp I run. 75 right at the surface maybe a little warmer. Always had good luck.

Well I plan on using the shot glass method. Filling up the 3 shot glasses with DISTILLED water and putting a dark cup over them making complete darkness. With the shot glasses being covered that will increase humidity my main concern is the temperature. Its now reading 93 degrees and I fear it being that hot will cook the seeds. Am I just being an asshole and over worrying?

Yes. 3 people agreed. And if your going to grow in that spot 93 will cook young plants.

Deal with the heat before popping expensive beans.

It dont have to be dark for them to pop either. Just saying
