230 Watt CFL vs 150 Watt HID

I've never grown with anything other than 1000 watts HID. I'm building a cab for a friend.

I can build a 230 watt cfl grow light 6500K AND 2700k for less than the of 1 150 watt HPS...

So.. the CFL offers more wattage, is cheaper, more usable light but the HID offers more penetration...

Any input would be appreciated

I'd like to experiment with CoBs... but after this project

Both have their advantages, I would go hid if temps won't be an issue.
