Im a retired military vet who joined what most on here would consider bad..the oilfield..it makes lots of money and is pretty easy if your smart..besides oilfield assholes....well they never had to kill people before..so dealing with them,aint much of a problem.

but now I just try to bank away money for my kids and grow pot and other stuff to experiment and just see wtf I can do with things.. I like to modify things all the time.. anything from my cell phone to my semi truck..push limits and see what happens..
I live way the fuck up in the middle of no where north.. i dont even have an address..no im no bum..my house is probably bigger than the average house. just no town within 80 miles of me.
I am Canadian..and proud of it.
I wasn't into growing pot until later in my life.. so i joined this forum because it seemed to have the most intelligent people trying to push the boundaries of what is possible with these plants. I live far up north.. though on one hand I do live close to BC so I can for a hefty fee get my hands on good bud.. but its iffy at times as well. for quality control I decided to try to do things right the first time and research as much as I can.. though I like to stick to a budget I try to get the highest quality equipment i can. this is in all aspects of my life.
I have been a member here for many years. mostly watching..at least till i could show off my skills.. I have grown outdoors for years and years.. scattering seeds from all over the world to different places. i must say out of all the weed I have ever smoked.. the two best strains that I wish i could find seeds of.. are
Alaskan thunder fuck and Namaste.. If anyone who reads this knows of some original strains of this.. I would pay handsomely for seeds.
ive been doing outdoor stuff since I was in middle school. just taking bag seeds and tossing them next to spring creeks.. coming back to find some buds in late sept.. though kinda scraggly.. later advancing to deep woods guerrilla grows..yes you have to hide them even when deep in the Forrest..I did things right though and brought my own soil in..experimenting with doing urban gurilla grows. such as in neighbours back corner of lot or in an empty lot in town but beside a bush that kinda smells like one.. these new auto flowers have me thinking of even more crazy places to jam em.. if you just toss seeds all over the place you'll get something at some point. though some will probably get stolen..
but as time grew on I moved away from places where growing pot was easy. and winters barley existed. living where I do now.. though having summers reaching 40C or about 95F.. the winters are 7/8 months long and drop down to -40C or F ..so in the short summers we do get from late may to early sept..thats the only time there is not snow on the ground..there is no spring or fall.. just snow or no snow..the sun stays up till midnight in the summer and in the winter it doesn't come up till 9:30am and goes down at 3 pm.. so growing pot up here would be retarded....other than autoflowers
I moved inside at first just doing it very cheap with CFLS and basic compost.. results were well.. not impressive compared to outdoor stuff.. and I really didn't know if I wanted to invest the money in setting up a proper grow and using really hot HPS bulbs ...being a computer nerd I thought hey wait.. they make LED fog lights.. why not grow with those..as the coloured ones(red/blue) are a flop or okay at best .. seeing on here that people were using white LEDS that drew 50 to 200Ws each... I thought to my self.. that might just be the key...
also while breaking my first actual grow virginity I decided to toss in growing An autoflower in a 5 gal DWC bucket... people saying autos are a challenge and yield low..also nute sensitive....
that may have been the case at first.. but i think that has been bred out for the most part... Being a newb at indoor growing and DWC, yet having outdoor experience led me to doing some research before trying to grow stuff..also applying common sense to things
so here is today thanks to RIU.. +REP to who ever started this forum... the plant that most say can't happen.. An autoflower in a 5 gal DWC bucket running at 1300PPM
under about 300W of LED and shes no 1 ozer
