What do you do with harvested root balls

Usually after a harvest I will just throw them in my compost pile but there's like 3 feet of snow covering it up right now & neighbors will think something is wierd if I got 10gallon root balls all over the yard in the dead of winter- what's he growing? Hmmm

Planned to take them to the dump but it's closed until spring wtf should I do with them? All ideas welcome

Worm farm is a great idea...I started a worm farm last year but it got nasty because the old lady put a bunch of potato peels in there thinking they would eat them & it just got so putrid after awhile I just tossed them out in my garden. Thought about rinsing off the dirt too but my outside hose spigot is totally encrusted with ice & snow...c'mon spring
Hoping they will dry out enough to break them up into garbage bags after awhile

Go cruise around town. Peek at all the restaurant's dumpsters. Pick one to toss them in. Come back and do the deed after close. You wanna wait 2 - 3 hours after their listed business hours at any chain places. Just make sure its not a box dumpster. They'll be full of cardboard to be recycled. Construction sites are also good for this.

All my garden garbage goes into heavy duty bags, and then every couple months I drop off a couple bags into a random dumpster behind a business after hours.

I toss my garden garbage in the dog-park poop containers, even the bums won't look in there for bottles, and the smell of dog shit overpowers any other smell

just throw them in contractor garbage bags n let them sit outside till its nice enough to compost or take to the closed dump.

Haha, it's like you can get away with throwing anything out in the US as long as it's in a trash bag first. Got nuclear waste? Put it in a couple trash bags and toss in any dumpster. Its pretty nice, actually.
