Well, I was going to share my initial post with you fine people, but it seems that I'm out of 16oz cups lol

I'll have to go get some asap so that I don't get kicked out of the comp for tardiness!

I'll be growing in a trashcan. Pics asap.

Personally I just love making excel sheets for everything so no way I was passing up on tracking all this grow data all in one spot. I hope to have some charts at the end that'll depict some interesting data

Hey all, just a little weekend update.
First off, my cfls have dropped from 4 to 2, (lol thank gawd i'm only using them to keep the stretch down), two of them were making a noise i wasn't comfortable with so they've gone.
I have 2 plants yet to break ground the pale colored kush seed (which hadn't germed anyway) and the soviet ripper. I went looking under the soil and it was just kinda lying there, with that yellow "this isn't gonna end well" look about it. i'm keeping them around but they will have to take a backseat with only 2 cfls to go around.

Also discovered that my nasty looking lemon kush looks slightly less ugly in overhead shots. It'll be interesting to see how she fills out or not.


Finally, the bits i hacked off the chocolate skunk ...actually not too bad pity it smells like rancid B.O.

OK, FINNALY got the first seeto sprout, here are my details and pics
Green House Seeds Arjan's Haze #3, DynaGrow Grow and Bloom (both), DIY Cree 3070 bin AB at 1400 ma (5 volt fan for cooling) for 12/12 hours per day, 730 nm for 30 minutes after lights out, 660 nm for 30 minutes before lights on, Roots Organic Original Potting Soil, germination started on February 1, 2015 (soaked in water for 24 hours, then placed on moist paper towel til fully sprouted and ready for soil), 16 ounce 473 ml Walmart clear cup (upside down, with webbing to hold soil in, 1/2 inch hole on top). Pictures for all times provided. One 6" fan for air circulation. Heater to keep room warm.

Alright so seeds are in the water and ready for germination. I have to find my camera so ill take pics later. Not much to see as they're just seeds sitting in water right now.

Genetics:
1x BOG- Sour Grapes
1x ExoticGenetics- Snowmonster
1x ExoticGenetics- Kimbo Kush
1x Bodhi- Sunshine Daydream
1x Bodhi- Skylotus
Lighting:
Bonsai LED Panels x3 1 65 watt and 2 80 watt
Medium:
My own soil mix. A mixture of peat moss, earthworm castings, compost, pumice rocks, basalt, rock dust, alfalfa, kelp, etc
Nutes:
AACT teas, grokashi, and possibly dragonfly earth medicine

Dont believe I am forgetting anything. All will be planted in 16oz cups of course. Once seeds shown sign of cracking ill put them in the soil. to follow will be pictures of the beens soaking, packing of the beans, cups with the packaging etc.

Well my seeds have a tap root, used the good old paper towel method. Waiting for them to break soil. First time I've used soil.

Is that a reason to not follow what is going on? there is alot of things offered by the sponsors, so I think there should be acare for what others are doing to follow the rule set forth. Yes it is the beginning
of the competition so is a little bit releaxed. But it is Just that a sponsored competition.

Just roughly crunched the numbers on the odds of one of your plants being the winner... ~1.3% with 20 contestants entered, ~.66% for 40. Good thing is that there are 13(I think) prizes so the odds of winning something from these generous sponsors are much better or like 13 times better

A 51 xgs 190 x2 under one, same tent
Nutes:
Dyna gro, foliage pro and bloom and molasses

Soaked for 24 hours then planted on 2-18. 3 are above ground and the other 2 are starting to break thru. One fem seed and 4 regs. 5 out of 5 germ and hopefully all fems.

yes i'm very organized, I'm sure frozen does to. We have 21 with first posts, 19 of which with plants above ground. 6 more posted germ pics but not the official sprout one yet so a total of 27 are participating or will be within the next few days. There are 7 out who have been DQd or already declared they would not be able to participate. That means there are 48 yet to start. I'm pretty confident in these numbers but something couldve slipped passed me to throw the numbers off by one or two.

Yes just one. Not the time or space to mess with multiples. All the others went into soil and are going into my "normal grows" Busy time for me :0) last projected frost date is this weekend ! So got my indoor rolling ( just moved lots of work) and getting my outdoor ready to go :0D
