Herbie's Seeds Shipment - Discussion on USPS Delay

Hey everyone, so Tuesday (February 17th) my order from Herbie's dispatched to the U.S. and then "Your item has been processed through our sort facility in ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS) at 10:40 pm on February 19, 2015."

Now, I've ordered from Herbie's once before and the time it took to get to the next phase of departing was 4 hours, literally.

So my question is, what is ISC exactly? Has my package gone through customs? And has anyone ever had the issue with delayed notifications or delay from USPS/customs in general? I'm on day 2 of the same notification, when last time it took hours, so I'm just a bit concerned, but remaining level headed about it.

ISC stands for International Service Center, possibly customs. I've always ordered from attitude but I've had packages stuck in NY for like 4 days before and never had anything grabbed or got any notices.

Well I've read it can take some time for updates to appear, for the packages to roll over to the next phase, etc. so I'm hoping I am just feeling the inefficiency of a bureaucracy and not the immorality of one, e.g. stealing my property. :)

I'll keep updated.

You did say you ordered from herbies right? Last i checked they stopped the tracking # because they were getting nabbed. So how did you get a tracking # ?

I'm not sure because I actually went with the cheaper shipping option which seemed to disclude tracking. And I haven't heard anything about Herbie taking out there tracking. It did surprise me though I was given tracking for the least costly shipping method.

I'm not going to feel sketched until Tuesday evening. If no update by Tuesday then I'll feel a bit more like it was snagged.

Another thing to remember is that it says my order has *processED* through ISC. So taking that as being post-process, I'm assuming it got through. Could be wrong though.

Tracked packages are way more likely to be picked up, that said I have stuff get stuck in customs all the time, seems to take a random amount of time up to a week from my experience. Only had one of many get opened and it wasn't contraband so all good. Good luck.

You didn't have the tracking number posted earlier did you? I hope not.

There is a serious delay in the USPS right now because of the extreme weather we have had throughout the US. Be patient my friend

Ny is a big customs checkpoint. sometimesthings get slowed down. and can be a few days just too get scanned through lol

you have to have guarented shipping to track i just ordered 3 weeks ago it took 7 days to come in the nyc isc its a collection of customs overseas package depending on where on eastcoast your at im 4 hours from nyc and it took 7 days to get to me from uk.

you probably already recieved your seeds by now once in us it should only take 4 days max to be delieverd from usps good look

Are you saying that since I bought the cheapest shipping method that the tracking will be void once to the U.S.? So I'll have no tracking? Or?

I got a tracking number 2 weeks ago. I had ONE update on my order from usps lol. It said it was in gardenville NY. Then it just said that for days. The next update I got was to tell me my order was in the mailbox lol.
