This is what I get for buying a cheap Chinese LED - TaoTronics TT-GL14

If you've been browsing around the LED forum here for a bit, you've probably heard the advice from many of the pros - "stay away from the cheap Chinese LED panels"
Sure they work. They grow plants, but they also aren't made well. I noticed burning on and around a couple of the diodes. Definitely worried me...

This was in September. I look back and laugh - what was I thinking.
I've used this primarily for vegging in a 2'x3' tent - 18 hours a day for 2-3 months. It'll need replacing ASAP.

I emailed the company to see if they would cover this under the 1 year warranty it says it comes with - I'll wait and see if they reply
Something tells me they won't. But hey - maybe?

just keep at it and let them know you are posting their company name all over boards like this alerting people to their lack of customer service and wont honour their warranty

"cheap chinese" is the same as 95% expensive american. different labels on same gear. i hope you get it sorted. chinese is not synonymous poor quality or absent follow-up.

I have one and have done about 5 grows with it and I have better yields than my buddies 400 watt HPS

Shit like this is the reason i buy ALL my lighting from HTG supply , its all chineese stuff but it works & if it fuks up they do the best warranty customer service ive ever seen , 5 yrs on most lights & you get a new 1 without ever sending the old/bad one back .

Probably because they make so much damn money off selling cheapo lights that they can afford to provide the 1-year, 5-year replacement treatment. HTG's prices for LEDs are ridiculous; your better off buying from gothamhydroponics.

If you spend extra on Area51, the extra weight you get from using it will justify the cost. They also have a really great warranty. You can also try some DIY work with cobs. You really get a lot of bang for your buck if you build it yourself.

What size light is it and what kind of yields are you pulling? GPW?
