Question about flexible ducting.

Hey everyone I just had a quick question about flex duct. My question is do I want to make sure its stretched out as far as it'll go to allow better airflow? Seems like I should been messing around with this for a couple wks now and finally wrapping it up. Any and all comments are welcome and almost thinking I should have gone with 6'' fans instead of 4'' feel free to give me any feedback on this too please. I don't want to have to be messing with any of this once the beans have sprouted lol.

I would of gone with the 6". Larger diameter means it can achieve the same CFM at lower speeds meaning less noise all things being equal.
Stretching it will improve airflow and probably cut down on noise, I'd try pinching the slack together and use a clothes pin or binder clip to hold it.

if u can, get the 6" system running... the airflow difference is immense, and u can rig the 4" as either a scrubber, or active intake... (I have mine on a thermostat outlet, if it gets warm, it pulls outside air into the grow room, blasting against the water res/air pump)

With the 6" you don't have to worry about the loss involved, with the 4"..... I'd run straight duct wherever possible, and keep ridges shallow as possible.... losing the airflow can hurt the 4" systems performance...

Each ridge is another airflow disruptor, straight ducting is cheap, may have to roll/snap it together urself... use the flex for needed bends... (and make these as soft an angle as possible)

Thanks guys I realize now that I should have bought a bigger fan but my led came in and temps were holding nicely at 81 so I'm goin for it.

Just get a 4" to 6" reducer to connect to your fan. Also, get a fan speed controller and you can adjust accordingly, they're like $25. Unless you're running CO2, 81F is too hot (you want to be 75 - 76F) and will only get worse in summer.

Thanks man I got some tape for the duct and a little booster fan really seems to be helping

Get insulated ducting if you don't have it makes a Hella differnece

I have it and I got some aluminum tape yesterday and wrapped all my splice points and got a little inline fan seems to be working pretty good.
